Is there any way to increase the chance of concieving twins? Or a specific sex of a baby?

Just interested... DH and I are planning on baby number 2 and we thought we'd have a go at making life interesting x x

Not twins no - they're either genetic or a fluke of nature !!

Sex yes - can't remember now - but it's to do with when you have sex in your cycle - think the female sperm swim slower so later in the cycle gives the girls a chance to get there - and earlier in cycle the boys get there first - but I might have that arse about face - haven't read aout it for 7 yrs !!! But someone who knows exactly will be along in a moment - or Google it !

That's right about gender. Girl sperm live longer, so you increase your chances of a girl if you have sex before ovulation. Boy sperm get there faster, on or after ovulation.

Only a miniscule difference in odds though, afaik. Didn't work for me! There are other things you can do. Certain foods to eat - bathing with certain salts etc in the water... There are books on it.
