I lost my EP and right tube 9 weeks ago tomorrow. DP and i made love today and the condom split. I am so scared that this one accident may get me pregnant and that it is too soon. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust recommends waiting 3 months before ttc again but its only been 9 weeks. My last period was 19th Jan and ive had cm since yesterday so i think that i may be ovulating.

I am so scared. Is it too soon? What should i do?

is MAP an option?

nat24 · 28/01/2007 23:47

thanks for replying. i dont really want to go down that route as it may cause another EP. Ihave spoken to others that have suffered a EP and quite a few of them took the MAP. I dont know what to do but i am scared sh**less

bumping in case anyone else has any advice.

If you really can't take the MAP, then your GP can insert a coil, which should prevent implantation of any fertilised eggs.

Could you ring the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust for advice?

Hi thanks for the advise ladies. Ive spoken to the EPT and they told me not to panic. Being 9 weeks post op is better than 6, which is better than 3. They said that my body will be well on its way to healing. They told me to relax and wait for my next period (if it comes). Im just a little worried as the chances of having another EP is 7 - 15% but saying that, theres a 85% chance that everything will be fine. Although im worried, im also very excited at the thought that i could be pregnant. Think ill start a new thread to see how many others conceived before the 3 months.
