Hospital woes

Hi all
Thank you so much for all your advice and words on my last post. To update, I'm now 13 days late with every test being a BFN

BUT the stomach and back ache I mentioned got so painful I ended up in a 111 call to NHS, a late night apt with a dr and then rushed to A+E. I've been prodded and poked with no clue as to what is wrong.

Initially they suspected a kidney infection so I was on an IV drip with some antibiotics, painkillers and fluids. Then tests were fine so I was sent for x-ray- again, fine.

Drs seem to have no clue, im terrified because I'm in a lot of pain; it's like wearing a rubber ring round my stomach which is cramping and twinging all round my tummy and back and pelvic area.

I've had blood tests, urine tests, they did a blood preg test and said it was negative but I've accepted that completely and am now just desperate to know what's going on.

No period for nearly two weeks, hideous pain and stuck in hospital opposite a snorer!

Anyone go through anything similar? What could it be? I'm so scared

Oh god that sounds horrible.

I've no idea but pleased to hear you've been admitted.

Sorry to hear you're in pain :( have they done an ultrasound or mri??

This could be completely wrong and the odds are small (1 in over 70,000) but my periods suddenly went funny a few years ago including stopping and just having extreme pain instead. They discovered i had a transverse vaginal septum (would have been there from birth and usually diagnosed at puberty) - for an unknown reason I was no longer able to pass the flow of period blood in my late 30s!

Very long shot though - it's quite a rate phenomenon.

I hope they find a cause or at least relief for you soon xx

karryk · 07/08/2016 08:49

Rare not rate ;)

Glad your in hospital OP, I hope you get it sorted soon. You need to push for an MRI scan for definite if nothing is showing on the bloods. As karryk said, it could be something extremely rare.

Anyone heard how OP is doing?

Tatlerer · 09/08/2016 10:49

Could it be an ovarian cyst? Could spot that on an ultrasound.

Hi everyone

I'm out of hospital today, still a bit flummoxed tbh. I had some xrays done and blood tests to check infection; all fine. Saw a gynaecology specialist who did some tests who said my cervix was small and closed but no problems she could tell. She took some swabs and did some checks and said she was happy to refer me back to dr.

Main consultant said ppl can just miss a period and not to worry (!!) and that pain might be from an infection that's gone already (?!) or muscular (again, ??!)

Whilst in I had a dose of antibiotics through drip and painkillers. Pain is STILL here, period still isn't. I'm just trying to ignore it all now before I have a breakdown or something!
