I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Absolutely Beedles I am pretty sure I read somewhere that in Sweden it is the law that all babies have to have this?

keepitgoing · 23/08/2016 11:20

YES beedle!!! Though actually the Swedish snowsuits are probably designed for snow rather than show... In Norway the kids all wear woollens plus vest under 'vinterdress' and have to send 7 layers to nursery!!

That sounds same pattern as me imps so hopefully means head is down. Head and bottom are round and firm but hard to distinguish

beedle guess it doesn't matter on position for you as you'll be having a cs anyway!

Pastamancer · 23/08/2016 11:30

DD2 was suspected breech at 2 or 3 appointments in a row so I was sent for a scan which revealed she was head down. I could never tell what was what even when the midwife told me as it all felt the same to me so try not to worry too much as even the midwives can't tell for sure and if they are concerned they will organise a scan

Imps9 · 23/08/2016 12:18

I wish my bottom was firm...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/08/2016 08:33

Been to see the mw this morning. She isn't worried about me going back to work as long as I continue to avoid anything strenuous. My next appointment with her is in 3 weeks, just after my next scan.

So one final day on the sofa for me before I go back to work tomorrow.

My mw said she couldn't tell if it was a bottom or a head on the right hand side of my belly!

That's good beedle, will you be pleased to get back to work? It won't be for long anyway...

Imps9 · 24/08/2016 09:38

Another week off might have been nice Beedles! Have you decided when you're starting mat leave yet?

Loops are you there? Hope you're okay.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/08/2016 10:30

I emailed the form to my boss last week, so mat leave starts week 38, even if I'm signed off again before that I can't be forced to start ml any earlier. I still have a week of holiday and 40 hours of flexitime to use so I can see how it goes. (Though I don't get paid time off for AN appointments so I need to use the flexitime for that). So maximum 7 weeks working :o

OP posts:
Imps9 · 24/08/2016 10:44

If you had the baby before 38 weeks, would mat leave start automatically then, or would you be given another sort of leave until mat leave kicks in at 38 weeks?

Can't believe you don't get paid time off for AN appts! God, parental rights are so shit in Sweden...

Imps9 · 24/08/2016 10:47

I've got 6 weeks to go. Would like to be at home today though - it's v hot outside which means that work had turned the air con down from the usual okay temperature to what feels like about 15 degrees. It's fucking freezing in here - most of the ladies have got jumpers/cardis and scarves on. I've got 2 cardis and a scarf! It seriously doesn't need to be colder than usual inside just because it's hotter than usual outside.

At least we have air con I suppose though.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 24/08/2016 11:28

I think mat leave would begin as soon as the baby arrives. I think I can use some maternity leave for antenatal classes, but it's a bit complicated so easier to use flexitime. It is a bit odd that AN appointments aren't paid, I'm not sure what happens if you work somewhere without the option of flexitime, maybe it's just unpaid time off.

imps it's probably a bloke in charge of the temperature! Climate control in my office is really good, hardly ever too hot or too cold. Though meeting rooms can get a bit stuffy if the meeting goes on too long!

Bloody hell, just stood in an air-con-less shop for 10 mins and am dripping with sweat. Hurrah for air con, even when it is set to arctic!

Imps9 · 25/08/2016 11:21

Just had 31 week MW appt. All good - bump measuring 32cm and blood pressure/wee fine. Barry-Baxter appears to be breech at the moment, but there's plenty of time and room for him to turn. I'll do some extra ball bouncing and hip swaying on all fours this afternoon I think.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 25/08/2016 11:48

That should be interesting for your colleagues imps :o

Back at work today, but not actually done anything I would consider useful yet! ( I have done some stuff that my boss Thinks is important though!) Well I have worked out I can do a maximum 4 day week between now and mat leave and so have booked various wednesdays/thursdays and fridays off :o

geek and loopy how is evrything with you?

OP posts:
Imps9 · 25/08/2016 12:34

Oh yes - I perhaps should have mentioned that I'm working from home today!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 25/08/2016 12:42

you're no fun imps you need to do hip swaying on all fours in the middle of the office!

OP posts:
Imps9 · 25/08/2016 12:43

Maybe next week Wink

Imps9 · 25/08/2016 13:08

Oh and my belly button is half out now and making me feel v squeamish!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 25/08/2016 13:36

MrB has said I won't be allowed to wear any tight tops if mine goes outy! I Think it makes him feel ill too :o

keepitgoing · 25/08/2016 17:09

Great stuff on your mw appt imps, mine is tomorrow
Mine is half outie too... Urgh

I was meant to have a day doing nothing today, had a leave day but bloody typical kip threw up all down the stairs just before she was about to go to nursery Shock so I've had her all day. HOW DO THEY KNOW aaargh

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 25/08/2016 20:16

I'm ok. Bleeding started yesterday morning so hopefully it will start to ease tomorrow. I don't want to ttc again until Dec or Jan. DH has started on Wellman tablets so I want him to be on those for 3 months first and I want to get my hands on some prednisone before we ttc again. Whatever is meant to happen at 14 dpo isn't happening. I emailed prof Q and she is going to speak to me on 6th Sept. Wondering if it's either high blood NK or an underlying immune problem. My white blood cells were 11.01 which right at the top of normal (11). I have sinusitis regularly. Also asked if its possible to get a second opinion on NHS as wondering if hysteroscopy at Worcester missed something, given that they missed my very PCOS ovaries on a scan and didn't mention fibroids that Coventry saw on a scan.

keepitgoing · 26/08/2016 06:48

loopy that sounds sensible, you clearly need sth you're not getting. I think it sounds like immunes, brooking they can try sth else. Lots of love and I hope a few months break males life a bit easier

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/08/2016 07:06

Sounds like a good plan loopy waiting until dec or Jan is only 2 or 3 cycles for you isn't it? Hopefully Prof Q can help in some way.

keep hope kip is feeling better now, sorry you didn't get your restful childfree day.

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 26/08/2016 09:42

I've looked at roughly when my cycles will fall. Going to wait until January cycle as I think I will ovulate in mid September, late October and early December. By then DH's sperm will be as good as it's going to be and hopefully I might have a new plan from the medical world by then....

Imps9 · 26/08/2016 11:38

Loops Mr Imps also took high dose vitamin c tablets once a day (1000mg (or whatever the correct unit is)). I'd read a number of articles/papers online which make a link between high dose vit C and improved DNA frag. They're not expensive at all - worth a shot too? The Wellman won't have such a high dose in it alone. He was only on it for 2 months before this BFP, but DNA frag is a more last minute thing (ie a sperm becomes fragmented after it is made, not at the time it's made). Therefore the Vit C wouldn't need the 3 months or so to be effective.

Your plan sounds good and I would deffo deffo push for second opinions re fibroids and NK cells. There is clearly something amiss which they haven't spotted yet.

Oh Keep so sorry you missed your day off with a poorly Kip. What are the chances?!? Can you have any time to yourself this weekend?
