I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Oh my god I have lost my maternity notes Shock Shock Shock Blush Blush I've had to come to my MW appt without them. What the fucking fucking fuck have I done with them? This is classic fucking me.

Pastamancer · 26/10/2016 11:25

Baby brain Imps

Imps9 · 26/10/2016 11:29

It's just typical fucking me. 8 months they've been by my side but when it comes to the important bit - you know, actually having the baby - they are nowhere to be found. Any chance they don't really need them at the hospital when you give birth?

Pastamancer · 26/10/2016 11:35

Not having your notes will not magically seal up your fanjo to stop B-B coming out but would make life much easier for the midwives during labour as they will be able to see if there are any unusual things to be aware of, your blood type if needed etc. Have a good look when you get home as you probably not be able to settle properly until they are found. Has Mr Imps taken them with him for some utterly bizarre reason?

keepitgoing · 26/10/2016 12:34

Ooh imps exciting! That all sounds good. I'm sure your notes will turn up. The other day I told dh I'd lost my wallet, that I had been sure was in my handbag. He went to look and it was right there on the top... Baby brain exhaustion
Let us know what mw says

pasta I've been trying that position to reduce wind, but find f's head sort of smooches into my boob and smothers him so he wriggles around and comes off... I end up sitting us both more upright rather than leaning back but it's not that comfy

Imps9 · 26/10/2016 15:44

Still no notes Angry MW said that most of it is on the system anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. But I feel like it's a problem and am determined to find them.

I did find the appt v annoying though - the first question she asked me was "so what's actually planned for you now that you're overdue?". I said that I wasn't aware that there was a plan and she said "fine, we'll just see what happens then". I'd have thought the point of the appt was to discuss and formulate a plan? I also discussed the bloody discharge I'm getting and she said that it sounded like it could be a show but she couldn't guarantee it. She didn't ask anymore questions about it so I'm left just wondering if it is a show or if I'm leaking bloody discharge for a more sinister reason. And then I asked if the head was engaged and she just said that it was getting there. What does that mean??? And she didn't even do my blood pressure!!

It probably didn't help that I was already wound up by lack of notes but the whole appt felt like a total waste of time.

And she wound me up by saying that obviously I am going to be very anxious about the birth given "my previous history". I wanted to tell her to fuck off - I'm really not anxious about it at all, well no more than I imagine all mothers-to-be are. I don't like it when people make assumptions about me.

Sorry, having a bad mood day clearly!

Pastamancer · 26/10/2016 15:48

She sounds pretty shit but I imagine your BP would be higher than normal due to your frustration over the notes and her crap manner. It does sound like a show to me so just keep an eye on things. Most important of all is keeping track of movements, just because you are almost there doesn't mean they should slow down, any reduction needs to be checked out. DD1 did it to me, she didn't move much anyway but I hadn't had any all morning so went in for monitoring. Cheeky ratbag went nuts as soon as I got to the hospital and was fine but the mw said it is always best to get checked to be on the safe side

Imps9 · 26/10/2016 16:11

Thanks Pasta. B-B is being a proper wiggle bottom today so that's at least something.

And yes she was rubbish especially because if she was so convinced about my heightened anxiety levels it would have perhaps been a good idea to make an overdue plan with me or get to the bottom of the bloody discharge a bit more, rather than being so shruggy and vague.

Pah oh well. At least she won't be looking after me when I'm in hospital.

Imps9 · 26/10/2016 18:12

Sooooo much pink/brown pant snot. This mucus plug is seriously the gift that keeps on giving.

Pastamancer · 26/10/2016 18:22

I never had a show with either of mine, your body is definitely thinking about evicting your tenant soon :)

Imps9 · 27/10/2016 02:55

Hmmmm am pretty sure that proper contractions have kicked in. They're quite ouchy anyway.

keepitgoing · 27/10/2016 03:11

Good luck lovely!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2016 06:18

How exciting imps, I'll just phone your entire family and let them know! :o

Babybeedle has just been weighed and managed to lose about 20 grams on a schedule of 3 hourly breastfeeds followed by top ups of ebm and or formula. Not sure what the Dr will suggest when we see her later.

keepitgoing · 27/10/2016 07:06

Its OK beedle I'm on my way to pick up her mum and we'll camp out at hers/ the hospital...

Sorry to hear about the weight loss it must be very frustrating as well as worrying. I remember the stress we had with kip well. Hope you're OK how does she seem, is she just sleeping all the time? Is she jaundiced?

WishIWasSleeping · 27/10/2016 07:11

Now I'm a little freaked out as I woke up at 2.30 this morning and all my brain thought was that imps was in labour. Which is frustrating as my little one was actually asleep and I don't even know you guys! And I'm not one of those strange special people..
I so almost logged on and posted... !

Beedles I'm sure she'll even out soon, it's all still new to your tiny person. The fact she is actually drinking will hopefully work in her favour. xx

ControlGeek · 27/10/2016 09:40

Good luck Imps, I hope today fits in with your planned scheduled! Brooking for a lovely sneeze birth.

Beedle sorry to hear about the weight loss again, I hope they can get to the bottom of it quickly so that you can all go home Flowers

cartoontrickster · 27/10/2016 10:07

Oooooo hope this is it imps good luck!!!!!
I'm 30wks today its flying by.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2016 11:13

We are home again :o We need to stick to the 3 hourly feeding and make sure she doesn't get tired breastfeeding. So hopefully using the pump will stop my supply getting any worse in the meantime. We are back for weighing tomorrow lunchtime and if she hasn't improved she will need to be tube fed. But it is nice to have 24 hrs at home. She is/was jaundiced but that is improving.

Are you sneezing imps? :o

Imps9 · 27/10/2016 11:14

Am in hospital - had to get ambulance here as had massive bleed. That's subsided now and B-B seems very happy indeed. But we won't be going home until B-B is here! Exciting.

Sorry to hear about weight loss Beedles. Let us know the plan xx

keepitgoing · 27/10/2016 11:59

Gosh that must have been scary imps. Glad you're both OK. Are you still having contractions? What caused the bleed

Must be lovely to be home at least for a bit beedle. Cone ON babybeedle

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2016 15:36

Flipping heck imps that's a bit scary. Do they know what caused it? Will they try to speed up B-B's arrival?

We did normal parent stuff this afternoon and went for a walk around the block with the pram, it felt good. Now it's resting time!

cartoontrickster · 27/10/2016 16:01

beedle glad your enjoying your time at home. Sorry to hear about the weight loss. Hopefully she will catch up soon.

imps how's it going? Are you actually in labour now then?? Scary about the bleed, what was that?

ControlGeek · 27/10/2016 16:57

beedle yay and congrats on being out! I can't believe you're already going for a walk with the pram so soon after your c section. Long may this continue, good luck for tomorrow's weigh-in.

Imps been thinking of you all day and refreshing the page like mad risking potential disciplinary for using personal sites during work time! but dying to know how you are doing and that b-b is on his way. The bleed sounds super-scary, hope all is ok now.

GenericDietCola · 27/10/2016 21:50
