I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Trix I cannot believe that they are keeping you in the dark like this. It is simply not good enough. Please do as Keep suggests and either call them or ask Mr T too. I'm pretty disgusted really.

Bloody hell what a rush this morning. I turned up at the wrong place for my MW appt - there are two places in my village where the appts were held and I picked the wrong one. It's hard to remember the location when you've booked so far ahead! Anyway, all is well - Barry-Baxter appears to be head down with his back to my left so fingers crossed he stays like that. Well done Barry-Baxter.

What made you think you were going into labour Keep?

Any word on CS dates Beedles?

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 12:51

So much for handing stuff over at work. I'm having more stuff piled on to me than ever and I want to scream. This is even with an extra person in the team now. It's totally unacceptable.

keepitgoing · 21/09/2016 13:14

Oh dear imps, that's rather stupid of them to give you more work! Still, 2.5 weeks and you'll be outta there.

I had regular pains, like BH but more painful, felt like I needed a poo,,etc. But I think they were too short and close together whilst not v painful. Anyway they've gone now and no baby, so clearly wasn't real labour Grin

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 13:33

Are you sure no baby? Have you checked thoroughly?

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 15:03

Latest bumpie at 35+1. Am struggling to fit into some of my maternity tops now Confused

Pastamancer · 21/09/2016 15:10

I like to think that every twinge, ache and pain beforehand is one less during labour. Pushing stage with DD1 was 1.5 hours, DD2 was 11 mins. No pains or anything before labour with DD1 but plenty with DD2

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 15:35

I like to think that that's how I'm going to approach labour Pasta - each pain is one less pain that I have to go through before meeting B-B. A bit like trying to conceive really - each failed month was at least one month closer to the successful one.

cartoontrickster · 21/09/2016 18:17

I have the results, it came back normal. So we are just dealing with a heart problem. The best out come we could have hoped for. Phew Smile

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 18:52

Oh Trix that is absolutely wonderful!!!!! The heart problem is obviously scary but the consultant was pretty upbeat about prognosis and treatment wasn't he/she? They are miracle workers these days with what they can achieve.

I am so so pleased

keepitgoing · 21/09/2016 19:18

Oh trix fabulous news, I'm so pleased. As imps says the heart thing will be fixed and that's that. When are you seeing the Dr again?

Fabulous bump imps I know what you mean most tops stop half way over my bump now, I have extra long non-mat tops which do the trick though

Take each contraction at a time, and don't think of how many there might be or how long it might take, is good advice I was given

ControlGeek · 21/09/2016 20:35

trix that's brilliant news, sorry they messed you around so much but glad you were able to keep busy and sane through what must have been a horrible couple of weeks. They really can do wonders for hearts now.

imps truly amazing bump! Have you had much backache with it?

Imps9 · 21/09/2016 20:56

So will you have regular scans Trix? Do they need to keep an eye on the heart as baby grows? Will you need a CS?

Geek I've been completely back ache and hip ache free! Am very lucky. Still feeling great, if a bit heavier. Long may it continue! How are you doing?

ControlGeek · 22/09/2016 08:06

Keep I just can't get over that you are on labour-watch already. Life keep dragging me away from here for long periods and I don't realise how time is passing (either for others or even for myself!). You're into the 'at term' period now, right?

Things are still incredibly busy looking after DF, and poor MrG looked like he was on the road to recovery then got hit with another infection so he's rather poorly at the moment. He's unlikely to be back at work before the end of October, I just hope to goodness he can get back before I finish for mat leave because I'm desperate to get my mum up here and have a week off with her. I'm still stuck in the guest room so no chance of that at present.

MrG's son, who didn't want to know when MrG was in hospital, is over the moon about the baby - asking can he come to scans, suggesting baby names etc. It's lovely he wants to be involved but I just wish he wanted to be as involved with MrG.

Geekling's cooking nicely and all is well here. I'm slower, bigger, but very happy to have entered the third trimester :)

cartoontrickster · 22/09/2016 08:29

I'll have scans every 4-6wks with the fetal heart specialist to keep an eye on him.
They seem confident they can make a good repair in the first few weeks or months after he is born, Depending, he might need a temporary fix to begin with.
He will probably need several ops in the end.
Haven't discussed the birth or what happens straight away yet.

keepitgoing · 22/09/2016 08:31

geek you look wonderful, what a great bump. So sorry to hear of mrG's infection, what a bugger just as he was recovering. I hope you get some time with your mum. It's lovely his son wants to be involved but why not more so with his dad??

I'd love any baby names ideas, I have no idea on boy names really.

Yes, def on labour watch. 38 weeks today, so more pregnant than I've ever been Grin . Baby feels v low down. I just want it out safely, I have a horror of full term disasters happening.

keepitgoing · 22/09/2016 08:34

Cross posts trix. It will be scary for you all having him operated on but it sounds like a very good prognosis. I'm sure there are support groups for parents who've been through similar, it might be worth looking on fb if you think that'd be helpful

I'm so glad you have a supportive family around. Which Hosp will do the surgery, the JR?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 22/09/2016 11:15

Fab news trix I'm so pleased the results are ok.

way too busy at the moment, will write more tomorrow, Waves to all!

38wks already keep! Hmmm baby names, boys are harder I think we had a fairly sort boys list to girls and now I have to come up with another! And it has to go with Ns name.
Hope Mr geek is better soon and you get to have your mum to stay geek

I presume it will be at the John radcliffe but not sure, there's a lot I still need to find out and I'm sure I probably missed bits of information before.

Imps9 · 22/09/2016 13:37

Boys names are hard. There are only two I like. Mr I doesn't like one of them but does like the other, so while we haven't agreed it looks like it will be that one. The one he doesn't like but I do is Evan, so you are welcome to have that one!

Geek am so sorry about Mr G's set back. Come on infection - bugger off and give Mr and Mrs G a break.

Imps9 · 22/09/2016 17:51

Just got back from scan. All is good. Barry-Baxter's head is firmly wedged downwards and is not back to back. The sonographer pointed out his hair!! He has at least 3 tufts!!

Estimated weight at this stage is 5lb 14oz which is bang on average. Well done Barry-Baxter.

ControlGeek · 22/09/2016 19:50

See, we're struggling with girls' names! Too much choice, plus we've got very fussy criteria and almost every name one of us picks, the other vetoes for some reason. The ones that have made the list are ones we both feel a bit 'meh' about, tbh. Boys' names, on the other hand - much easier!

Imps very pleased B-B is behaving himself so well and getting into the right position bang on target.

trix It must be so worrying for you, I think the idea of looking into a support network is a really good one. I hope the extra scans can provide you with reassurance rather than more worry.

Keep oh my goodness, how strange that you are now more pregnant than you've ever been! I really can't believe we are on labour watch already for a brooker. Surely it was only a couple of months ago we were all announcing our BFPs Grin

I've taken the plunge and ordered yet more bras, even though I know I'll probably need at least one more set before Geekling makes an appearance. I'd been putting it off but this backache is driving me up the wall and right now going braless actually hurts less than wearing one so not really any choice in the matter.

ControlGeek · 22/09/2016 19:52

Every time I hit 'post' I remember what I forgot to say!

Beedle very glad to hear there's been no more bleeding and that things are on course for you. Don't get so busy you forget to rest though, lovely Flowers

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/09/2016 10:40

imps does Mr imps not know the baby will be called Barry Baxter whether it's a boy or a girl?

Buy more bras geek you won't regret it. Hope mrgeek gets better soon.

It appears I spoke to soon about having no bleeding. I went to the loo before dinner to find blood trickling out of me (+ 1 big gush which was even more scary). Luckily it stopped almost straight away but we've spent the night in hospital again. Hopefully we'll be out after lunch. I think they're going to book my CS date now and sign me off work until then. (I'm fairly certain it's not due to too much stress at work but my boss has been a bit of a knob this week so I won't explain that to him)

We're also missed our first antenatal class this morning, which is a bit of a shame.

I've been thinking, if I get a CS date for about 4 weeks time, and keep goes to 42 weeks, and Barry Baxter comes roughly on time we can have a proper triple whammy and all have our brooking babies on the same day :o (understand if you're not so keen on this idea keep!)

Good idea on more bras geek, I have such a massive variety now. Do share your boys names then. imps funnily enough I out Evan on the table here but dh says no. I want Rory but he's vetoed.

This morning kip said 'mummy I want our baby to be born now. We have waited a long long long time for it'. Damn right

Gosh beedle I'm so sorry about the scary bleeding, but yay to being signed off ;) at 34ish weeks all will be good. I'm not so keen on your plan though it had crossed my mind too!

How cute to see hair imps! Assume you are now back to mw care? Did you manage to avoid seeing any boy/girl bits?

keepitgoing · 23/09/2016 18:00

Had a sweep...
