I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Oh yet more waiting Trix. Could you phone for an update/to be given a clearer idea of when they will be in a position to discuss the results with you?

cartoontrickster · 16/09/2016 21:38

I'm tempted to imps. Maybe I will Monday lunch time.

Imps9 · 18/09/2016 08:02

Hello everyone hope you're all doing okay.

I'd deffo call on Monday if they haven't contacted you Trix. I don't think that's unreasonable at all. Have you been okay this week? It's such a horrible wait. Brooking, brooking, brooking as ever.

Back from holibobs now and we're going to treat ourselves to breakfast out this morning. I hate the end of holidays. Rubbish.

Keep remind me when Kip was born? On train over to France, two of the passengers got a call to say that their daughter had just given birth at 32 weeks, and someone we were talking to yesterday said that his son was born at 36 weeks. So now I have it in my head that B-B is going to be here any time now and why the hell do I still have 3 weeks at work?? Oh well, am sure it will all be fine.

keepitgoing · 18/09/2016 13:52

trix I'd def call, I think it's awful they've not been in touch as they said they would

Glad you had a lovely last holiday the two of you imps. Kip came at 37+1; I'm now 37+3 and so rather on edge. I'm hoping for Thursday so I can watch Bridget Jones on Tuesday, dh meant to work next weekend. Grin am quite nervous, actually. 3 more weeks, so you'll be 38 weeks? Will most likely be fine ... Are you all sorted? We pretty much are now

Imps9 · 18/09/2016 14:31

No we're not sorted Keep!! But I'm writing my Big To Do List now which will make me feel more organised.

Imps9 · 18/09/2016 15:08

My Big To Do List has 36 things on it so far. Not all B-B stuff but things that need to be done before he arrives.

Pastamancer · 19/09/2016 09:10

Trix Fingers crossed that no news is good news but give them a ring anyway as it will help to put your mind at ease

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/09/2016 10:37

Imps get cracking on that list! My waters broke with ds1 at 38+5 and he was delivered by EMCS the following morning. Plenty of babies arrive before 40 weeks! Isn't B-B team yellow? Or do you know it's a he now?

Trix I hope they give you the results pronto!

Keep good luck when the time comes x

Imps9 · 19/09/2016 15:13

B-B is team yellow - I just have it in my head that he's a boy now!

The list is now at 35 - it went up to 43 but we did quite a bit last night.

Trix also hoping that you have had good news today or at least have clarity as to when you might hear some news.

cartoontrickster · 19/09/2016 20:52

Well I phoned and got nowhere really she seemed a bit unsure said something about any day now & she would try and get an update from the lab but I haven't heard back.
The wait so far hasn't been too bad, I guess because we went away and then with N starting preschool and moving him to a big bed and new room we've had a lot going on anyway. Plus bedtime/ his sleeping has been bad for 2-3months and I'm still trying to find the solution so my mind has been very occupied.
Sorry I've not been around much and my posts are all me me me.

keepitgoing · 19/09/2016 21:01

Oh trix that's terrible of them. I'd phone again tomorrow, or ask dh to. It's really not on to keep you in the dark. Can you ask to talk to someone else. How's N doing at preschool? Sorry he's not been sleeping too well. I think pregnancy with a tiddler is all kinds of exhausting at the very least! We've just moved kip too as she wanted the baby to go in her old room (obv in 6m or so not that she gets that), luckily she seems to love it. Please don't feel bad for you posts!! We are all thinking of you all the time x

Imps9 · 20/09/2016 06:44

Trix that's really poor of them. I'm sorry they are leaving you hanging. I'm so glad you've been able to keep your mind away from it a bit though (although sleep problems is hardly a fun alternative). Don't think for a moment that we think your posts are all you you you - we don't.

Just ordered some Cheeky Wipes. That wasn't on the Big To Do List, but I might add it now just to be able to cross it off.

keepitgoing · 20/09/2016 09:45

Hi, just checking in before going to the cinema :)

We love our cheeky wipes imps, good call. I've just dug ours out and washed. That's a long list you've got!

Flu jab tomorrow

Imps9 · 20/09/2016 11:49

Ooh the cinema! What are you going to see Keep?

Over the past few days I've been having sporadic period pains and what I shall officially term "Bum Pressure". Anyone else have this? Hopefully it's a sign that B-B's head's in the right place? I have a MW appt tomorrow and scan on Thursday so I guess I'll find out soon enough what he's up to.

keepitgoing · 20/09/2016 12:30

Bridget Jones :)

Bum pressure? I think I know what you mean, it's prob just engaging and getting lower. I can't remember why you're having a scan? I've been getting stabs in the cervix/vag... What's that about??

Pastamancer · 20/09/2016 12:34

Sounds like bodies preparing nicely

keepitgoing · 20/09/2016 12:36

Period pains, not BH? Period pains are contractions of sorts I expect, but they can come and go for ages, I hear

I am a mixture of excited and scared. Just want baby here safely now

Pastamancer · 20/09/2016 13:01

Yes I had period pains quite a lot near the end with DD2 but still ended up going 10 days over so not a guarantee that things are going to happen soon. It is still a good sign that the body knows it needs to do something and is getting ready.

Imps9 · 20/09/2016 16:54

I'm having quite a few BH too, but I've been having those on and off since at least the second trimester. The period pains are different. The Bum Pressure is best described as feeling like I really need a poo for a short while, and then going back to normal.

Relieved to see that your period pains started early too Pasta. Can't wait to meet Barry-Baxter, but not just yet.

How was Bridget Jones Keep?

Trix I hope you've been better informed today. Let us know.

Imps9 · 20/09/2016 17:35

Oh and my scan tomorrow is just because of the previous MC/chems. If all seems well I'll be popped back into MW led care, rather than consultant led.

Imps9 · 20/09/2016 20:20

Scan on Thursday I mean.

keepitgoing · 21/09/2016 10:15

Thought labour might be starting last night but think it was just more painful BH than usual. Quite stressful not knowing what's what, when to call for childcare etc.

An extra scan will be nice imps

Beedle you OK? No more bleeding at all? :)

Thinking of you trix, nearly 3 weeks waiting I hope you can call again

cartoontrickster · 21/09/2016 10:49

Still nothing it's starting to get me down now.
How was Bridget Jones keep?

keepitgoing · 21/09/2016 11:19

It was good - made me laugh, and cry, though that's not hard

Lovely, you need to ring them again and get cross. If you don't have the energy get dh or your mum to do it. You could also try ringing your consultant's secretary and asking what's happening, they can usually find out quite quickly

BeedlesPineNeedles · 21/09/2016 11:35

trix sorry you still haven't Heard anything, it must be so stressful waiting.

Been really busy lately and really tired in the evenings, but generally fine and no bleeding.
