I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Hello all, hope you all had restful weekends.

Trix I hope you get the first results today and that you don't have to wait another day for them. Brooking so much that it's a positive result too.

I've decided not to go into work today - I didn't sleep well as my back and hips are hurting, and having dragged myself into work under the same circumstances numerous times, this morning I thought I would make life a bit easier for myself. Just wish I didn't have so much work to do. Oh well, never mind.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/09/2016 07:39

imps you can tell us, it was a heavy weekend of drinking and partying wasn't it!!! Hope your day of resting helps.

trix fingers crossed for some results today

We've been invited to a party on Saturday, hopefully they won't mind if we leave at 9pm!

Yes I was out getting lashed on lime and sodas Grin

keepitgoing · 05/09/2016 09:04

Mine was the opposite of restful as I was wrangling kip alone. Hips and back v painful and I went to bed at 8pm. I have her today then tomorrow she's St nursery and I get to enjoy m/l!!! Grin am feeling bad I'm so little energy for her...

Hope you have a good day imps

beedle assume you've not had any more bleeding? Brilliant, when do you see them again to discuss CS?

Brooking like crazy for you trix. Lots of live

BeedlesPineNeedles · 05/09/2016 09:18

sounds like a tiring few Days keep but yippee for starting m/l :o No more bleeding here so far. I have an appointment next monday which I Think is for a scan to check on the position of my placenta. I assume if its still in the same place they will start makng plans for CS at 38 weeks

OP posts:
Imps9 · 05/09/2016 09:52

So 38 weeks for you will be my due date if my calculations are correct...

cartoontrickster · 05/09/2016 10:49

Weekend was ok, spent all Saturday in pjs. We are on our way to Wales We've had a caravan holiday booked for ages so figured we may as well still go. Hopefully it will be a good distraction.

Imps9 · 05/09/2016 11:00

Aah lovely - hope the Welsh weather is good to you (although it's still pretty even in the rain).

keepitgoing · 06/09/2016 08:14

trix has there been any news on the results? I hope you're enjoying the caravan, is it just the three of you?

Hope you're feeling better today imps, how long till m/l for you?

38 weeks sounds good beedle, you must be nearly 32 which is a big one in terms of outcomes. Yay.

Ooh tea and toast in bed at this hour is a delicious luxury Grin

cartoontrickster · 06/09/2016 15:25

I've had the first set of results, the came back fine. So that was downs, Edwards & pateou (sp). But I expected that as the nuchal came back low risk but I suppose someone has to be the one in whatever thousands.
The ils are also here with us, separate. CAravans though!

keepitgoing · 06/09/2016 16:35

trix that's wonderful, one step at a time, eh? What will next week's test for, more unusual chromosomal things?

cartoontrickster · 06/09/2016 17:08

Yes, the more unusual stuff. I think they should come on Friday.

Imps9 · 06/09/2016 22:48

That really is good news Trix. Brooking for Friday.

Hope Wales is being its normal lovely self. Good plan for in-laws to be in a separate caravan!

Bump seems to have dropped here - everything looks and feels lower down. Am hoping that's not too odd for 33 weeks?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/09/2016 06:58

Great news trix hope the news is just as good on Friday. Hope you're having an Ok holiday, I'm sure the ILs are spoiling N at least!

imps no idea, but it sounds good. I Think babybeedle has moved a bit more vertical, though whether its head down I have no idea. Hope its not looking for the way out yet!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 07/09/2016 08:28

imps I think it varies massively, anyway, not much you can do about it! I think first babies tend to engage earlier, though not in my case, and then just stay there. Subsequent babies move in and out more

Slept v badly last night. Yawn. Today I properly prepare our hospital bag. Do several loads of washing. Ooh and I just won an ergo on eBay :)

Imps9 · 07/09/2016 09:38

I was thinking I could keep my legs crossed Keep! Yay for Ergo - hope you got a bargain :)

Sleep is a bugger these days - if it's not discomfort, it's the heat or needing a wee what feels like every few minutes. Oh well, it's all part and parcel isn't it.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/09/2016 10:16

so much for me saying it was more vertical, it has spent the morning kicking/punching me in the side!

imps my sleep is fairly disturbed too, I generally don't feel too bad but if you look at what my fitbit records overnight I move around alot. I hate to Think what it will be like when the baby actually gets here!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 07/09/2016 11:04

Have just realised the ergo original doesn't let baby face out. Oh well

Exactly beedle make the most of all the good sleep now ;)

I'm going on a red cross paed first aid course a week today, so stay in till after then, little one!

beedle it could kick in the side but be vertical, I'd have thought. I'm getting it in the ribs and cervix! Do you think it's trying to punch its way out

Does anyone else think newborn clothes are actually quite big Shock

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/09/2016 11:27

yes keep I've was holding a tiny newborn vest against my tummy the other day and it still looks massive in comparison to my bump, but at the same time tiny when I Think about trying to dress a small person! Anyway you've had kip, were the nb sized clothes too big for her?

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/09/2016 11:30

oh and I didn't Think baby facing out was as good for them or you (too much stimulation for them, and moving their centre of gravity further away from you making them feel heavier and puting more strain on your body)

OP posts:
Imps9 · 07/09/2016 12:02

I think that baby facing in is supposed to be better as it keeps them in a more natural shape. Do you have a newborn insert Keep? You can buy them separately if not.

Newborn clothes do look big. Wonder how big Barry-Baxter will be. I keep assuming he'll be massive because "Barry-Baxter" is a big sort of name Confused

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/09/2016 12:25

yes imps barry-baxter does make me Think of a rather chunky newborn, hopefully for your sake he/she is not an 11lb monster :o

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 07/09/2016 12:29

They were about the right size for kip, it's more omg that has to come out of me!!

Yes I know but I think when they're a few months old they'll want to face out... I have a wrap for snuggly newborn days, think I'll use this a little later

I too reckon b-b will be a big 'un...

Pastamancer · 07/09/2016 15:30

Babies should always face the parent in slings and carriers. The Ergo is one of the good ones as they sit in it properly rather than just dangle like in the Baby Bjorn one which can damage their hips. I have an Ergo and used it this morning on the school run. It's far easier than the buggy and DD2 is 17 months but still fitting in it and comfortable to carry.

Imps9 · 07/09/2016 17:48

Is DD 17 months already Pasta???
