Zika virus worries

Hi all I'm hoping you will all tell me I'm being paranoid. We are ttc (one month in) after coming off the pill; however I seem to have missed the news about pregnant visitors being warned not to travel to Miami. We are due to go next week and have no way of knowing if I have conceived this month (not due on for another 8 days). Am I being paranoid thinking about cancelling; obviously we won't try while we are there so the risk has to be small doesn't it?

This is just my opinion, but I would cancel. It's not just about conception. If a man contacts Zika then it can pass in his semen for up to 6 months. So basically you'd be putting off TTC for that long.
Is there anyway your insurance would cover the lost cost?

No insurance say they won't pay out without a pregnancy note from doctor. :-( I didn't realise it was 6 months; what a nightmare :-(

Can you contact the airline or travel agent and see if they can offer an alternative?
