Implantation bleeding or period?

DH and I are TTC DC2. I ovulated 17 days ago and thought I was pregnant. With DC1 I knew I was pregnant about 2 days after ovulation and thought the same this time. Period is due in 3 days but I started bleeding yesterday. Not as heavy as my period but still quite a lot of brown/red blood. Also cramps yesterday all day. Does this sound like implantation or is my period just early? Should I do a pregnancy test yet or just wait till my period is due in 3 days? I really wanted to be pregnant so feeling disappointed and just want to know one way or the other.

I ovulated two and half weeks ago and last week on the Monday had pinkish spotting only 3 times wen I went bathroom and wiped it was small bit on tissue I assumed I was getting my period early as I wasn't due it for another week but it stopped and it wasn't flow it was pinkish spotting for few hours but here I am 3 days after my period was due and nothing is taking a clearblue on the day of expected period and results showed not pregnant. I could be just very late (I'm usually bang on time never late) I have back pain but that's about it. Anyone else with this problem

chocolate how do you know you ovulated? Do you temp? A 20 day luteal phase is extremely long. It is normally more like 10-16 days with the most common being 14 days. I think it is more likely it is just your period. You can't know you are pregnant two days after ovulation as you won't be pregnant two days after ovulation. Implantation doesn't start until at least five days after ovulation.
I know it is disappointing, but the average person only has a 25% chance of falling pregnant each cycle at the very most, and that is if everything is timed perfectly and there are no health problems.
You could test now and I think you should in order to put your mind at ease.

Thank u, I ovulate 14days ago 2 and a half weeks ago I said u must have read wrong lol. But I only know this because of an app is been using the past year in two kids already. Thanks for ur reply

delilahbucket I had implantation bleeding after 3 days of me ovulating. I ovulated on day 14 of my cycle. It could be implantation bleed. I would just test if I were you :)

Thanks for your replies. I I'm going to test tomorrow as that's when my period is due. I never had any bleeding with my first pregnancy so this is all new. It's the not knowing I can't stand! We'll see tomorrow.

Kitty, I wasn't replying to you, I as replying to the person whose thread it is. Two and a half weeks is not 14 days. Besides which, an app cannot confirm ovulation, regardless of how many kids you've had. You need a scan and/or bbt for that.
Ahsan I have never come across someone who has implanted within three days. Scientists say it is impossible, but hey, there's always something they don't know.
Implantation bleeding is actually very rare, same as ovulation bleeding. Not many women experience anything at all.

delilahbucket I feel ovulation every month plus I got implantation bleeding 3 days later. This has also been confirmed by an early scan so I must be one in a million

Well if u want to be precise about it all two and half weeks is 17 and a half days :-)

Hi my period is due today14th of this month but started bleeding two days earlier 12th. The bleeding was reddy pink. It's has almost stopped today which is the 14th. I'm unsure what it is. I have had slight cramming as well and my hormones have been through the roof eg crying over nothing. Please help.

I am waiting until tomorrow or Tues to test.
How long did you bleed for? I was two days, though really spotting one day, light bleeding another.
