Diagnosed with a uterine polyp & not sure what it means!

I had a TV ultrasound and it showed up a uterine polyp. The nurse doing the scan said its a very simple outpatient procedure to remove it. When I saw my doctor on Friday she said they wasn't sure if it was a polyp or fibroid but that I shouldn't worry! She said she will write to the gynaecologist as she may want to re scan me to conclude what it is, remove it or leave it depending on her opinion. The doctor told me I should still carry on trying for a baby but naturally I googled it and i have read horror stories about it interfering with implantation and also causing miscarriages.

What should I do?!

I had fibroids, didn't know til I went for my 12 week scan and all was fine :)

I had two removed under a GA as an outpatient. Walk in the park I promise. You're in and out. I was a bit tired after the ga but was eating pizza and drinking wine that night. I hadn't been ttc before but I will say that a year or so later I met dh and I got pregnant first time having unprotected sex so if you are ttc I would wait til you've had it done. Just my experience though!
