...falls in the fecking toilet and you were going to use your temperature in the morning to determine whether af is arriving or whether to pee on that expensive stick sitting in the bathroom Sad. Just about sums up my day really.

WineCakeBiscuit

Well perhaps not Wine.

Hope you get the result you want!

Thank you Allium. I doubt it will be the result I want, hence being hesitant to waste more money on tests. This is cycle 15 for us and dp has antisperm antibodies so our chances of natural conception are less than 1%. Just royally peed off about it all!

Well these things happen when you least expect it.

Have you tried any intervention?

Our only option is icsi and it will cost us £4800 Confused. If we moved house five miles away and over the border to the next county we would get it for free. Go figure!

That sucks. Do you think you'll move?

Or just fight it - sometimes if you push for things on the NHS, you get results.

It wouldn't be worth the cost of moving. We have a beautiful house and we had planned to never move because it's perfect. I have debated about "moving in with my mum" though who does live in that county!
I don't know what we'll do. We have a year at most to decide as I apparently I have a dwindling egg supply (at 31). There's always a chance, albeit small, that we can do it without help I guess. I have a son from a previous relationship which is why we have to pay for treatment. They were very very quick to throw a leaflet on the table and state we needed icsi and we wouldn't conceive without it. The whole appointment was rushed and very much "we want your money". Because £5k grows on trees and it's worth risking it for a less than 20% chance.
Dp started Wellman vitamins and has cut right back on alcohol to see if upping his count (although the actual count is good). The idea being that is there are more sperm then there are more not affected by antibodies. Worth a shot.

Aah I'm sorry.

If it helps the thermometers are normally pretty waterproof. I normally temp orally while I'm still in bed, I find it's most accurate if I don't get up and walk around.

You can also check for a temp rise tomorrow morning.

I temp orally Bertie and it landed in my wee so it went straight in the bin, but thank you anyway. It was in my back pocket and fell out as I stood up from the loo. I temp first thing too but had it out earlier in the day to check ds's temp and forgot to put it away. It's the only way I know what day to expect af as my cycle varies by a few days.
Maybe it's a saving grace. I know af is on her way really, I'm just loathe to admit it. That temp plummet would have only confirmed what I know.

It might be worth "moving in with your Mum" just to get that option moving and to keep all avenues open. Hopefully it will happen naturally before you need to use that option.

It's a possibility but I don't know how it will work as will have to change GP. Plus, we wouldn't go on the waiting list for another 9 months and then we would have to wait. It could be another two years and that's a long time. I will have to look into how/if it could work.
