hi all, just keeping you all informed....(you all know who you are!)
cd42 tomorrow. Stil no af. Lots of crampy pain, really feel as if af due to start any moment. Boobs feeling tender now, but no other "signs" whatsoever. 1 neg test on day 36. Went to see gp to try and get some answers - useless. Not his fault poor man, but every suggestion I made, eg can i have more bloods done to save time when i eventually get to next gyny appt// is clomid a possibility// could i have a blood test for hcg (or whatever its called)......all no no no no no no no.
Feel as if i am in complete turmoil.....
sorry to go on , but you all know what it is like and sometimes we all just need a bit of moral support .....
thanks for reading xxx

Aw pcm

No advice but just wanted to say I'm so sorry and frustrated for you that your GP was so useless.
Can you make another appointment on Monday with another doctor, perhaps a female one?

(((Hugs))), I really feel for you.

pussycatmomma · 27/01/2007 09:00

hi, thanks jo....dont really see that female gp will make much differnece, not even sure if there is a female gp at my practice at the moment... Just came here to say did another test this morning, bfn. So I am going to put it to rest now. There are so many stories out there about women who dont get positives till well over due, but on the same hand, so many women who test and test and test and the result is still bfn and they are never pregnant in the first place. Just wish my af would hurry along to give me a bit of hope for next cycle.
hugs to all xxx

Hi PCM, I haven't seen you about for a while, sorry things are all over the place, Surely by now your GP can offer you some sort of fertility tests/help? (Sorry if you have already been through this, as I said I haven't seen you around for a while!)

I hope things happen one way or the other for you soon, I know the limbo is worse than a BFN at times! {{{big hugs}}}

pussycatmomma · 27/01/2007 09:52

hi natjane...i am already on the "fertility treadmill" as it were. Have been diagnosed with pcos, had lap and dye, also ovarian diathermy surgery. Waiting for next gyny appt but i just feel as if i need to move things forward right now.
Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful ds - George , is it? I saw the announcment and pics, he is goregous.
Hope you are doing well x x x

Hi PCM - do you think maybe you didn't ovualte this month? When i was not ovulating i was getting lots of period pains and sore boobs.

Sorry to hear about the BFN again and that GP was not that nice.

Hope AF arrives soon for you so you can crack on with the next cycle.

xx

hiya Natty....long time no hear, hope you are ok honey. Not long till your ovarian drilling? March is it? I will be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed. Just wondered, do you temp? I am thinking of starting as opk are obviously no good for me with the pcos. You could be right, maybe i didnt ovulate, but then, i dont know if i have ever started ovulating after the drilling or not. Thas why i wanted bloods from gp, but he wasnt playing the game ggrrrr.
Will be thinking of you x x

Hiya

Yeah it is in March. Just hoping i am not on period as don't think they will do it then. Will have to wait till next month to see when i ovulate to know for def.

Yeah i temp, i need it to prove to myself that i have ovulated IYSWIM.

xx

PCM

I would see if you can contact the cons directly. GP certainly should have been more helpful but tests should be done by the unit anyway.

When did you have ovarian diathermy and were you followed up post surgery?. This should have happened and you certainly should not have been left. I would complain re that if this is the case.

If PCOS is the underlying issue you may not have ovulated that particular month.

Wouls suggest you not temp chart as PCOSers often end up with a chart that is very difficult to interpret. It generally is not a good indicator of ovulation either. You can have a rise in temp in the second half of your cycle when an egg has not been shed.

hiya........just a quick update. Af arrived on Tuesday, day 45 of that horrible long cycle. Have been quite upset and tearful....guess its just the confirmation of what I knew all along.
Thanks so much to my friends who have listened all the way along these long, long, days.
Attila.....did not have a follow up appt, was told i would be seen at the scheduled 6mth check.
I did contact the secretary directly and asked if I could be seen earlier or possibly arrange a call-back with the consultant but was told neither was a possibility.
I believe you are most probably right and my underlying problems lie in lack of ovulation
Thanks for listening everyone((((hugs)))))))))
so sorry there is no good news to report
