What do I count as the first day of period?

Had some brown discharge/spotting since last Friday. Monday I had some that was more red, then back to brown. Yesterday period was in full flow.

Is last Friday the first day, or Monday or yesterday? I want to track my cycle but am not sure where to count from. Usually my periods start full on so there is no doubt what is happening!

First day of proper heavy flow is day 1.

I class first day as the first proper flow red day but make a note of the spotting days as well just so I know for future reference, good luck x

Thanks. I looked again and actually this cycle was 31 days same as last. Only had 4 cycles off the pill and have been 27,28 and 2 lots of 31 days so fairly consistent really! Even if I counted from spotting it would have been a 28 day cycle.

I've ordered some ovulation sticks from Amazon for this month, they say tthe start using them on day 10

Sounds really good to me! I don't know many people who are bang on the same date every month! Hopefully you'll conceive quickly
