That's good you're going for another cycle of clomid Boggle, fingers crossed for you extra tight. I'm so sorry you're going through this, we are here for you to vent to as and when you feel the need xx

danigrace · 03/10/2016 10:22

Feeling rather down & frustrated today... 7 and a half weeks of nothing.
After taking all the herbs/supplements the last 2 weeks of my 100+ day cycle I had a natural period, then kept taking everything and had a regular cycle, then had a bizarre 21 day cycle. Decided I'd have a break from taking everything this cycle (bc it all adds up to be v expensive) but now I'm really kicking myself for breaking from something that seemed to be working for me bc now... Nothing. Is. Happening.

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/10/2016 11:35

Sorry you're feeling down dani, I am too. Is there any way you can start the vits again? I need to pick up some more vit d and b6.

OP posts:
Elly1685 · 03/10/2016 19:34

Got to try keep positive boggle - although I imagine that's easier said than done!

What vitamins have you been taking dani? At least you know they work I guess and can hopefully start taking them again.

I went to a baby shower yesterday - such a lovely day and I'm excited for my friend but so many babies and baby things and a few pregnant ladies was tough.... mixed emotions were running high last night xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/10/2016 19:47

I understand exactly how you feel elly, had the exact same thing on Saturday. Friends asking who will be next blah blah blah and I'm thinking, well at this rate it ain't going to me. Playing the baby shower games when I'm cramping away, it felt humiliating.

Thread seems quiet after my epic meltdown, sorry about that...

How is everyone?

I am on cd4 and AF has finished already. Shortest AF ever! Was only heavy for like 1.5 days, just went back to spotting after that.
Still, on day 3 of clomid and have a scan booked for 12th October.

Hi girls, how are you all feeling?
Elly I was taking a LOT of stuff lol. I think I posted my list on here a while back, I'll go back through & try & find it for you this week at some point!
Boggle I feel really unsure what to do tbh, I started back eith just the inositol & agnus castus bc I've been feeling slightly crampy the past couple days and don't want to start taking everything if AF may come... Think I'll give it one more week then reassess if still not here.

And I know what you mean about mixed emotions. I'm in a close group of 7 girls, we've all been friends for many years, some since the age of 4, & we get together at least once a month. 2 never want kids, 1 has a 4yo & is 7 weeks pg, 1 has a 3yo & a 2 month old, another has a 1 yo, and another is 30 weeks pg, then me... That's a lot of baby showers & baby time etc. Now don't get me wrong I love them all dearly and am so happy for them and would definitely never want to step back - I'm birthing partner to the pg one & went to her scans & going to her anti-natal classes etc. But I started trying before the friend with the 2 month old and 30 week pg one, and today the 6/7 week pg one just told me 'oh dani apparently I have pcos', she got pg when she 'wasn't trying'. Like I said I really love these girls and want them to have every happiness in the world and I want to be a part of it. But I'd be lying if I said my heart doesn't sometimes hurt a little & I didn't have to fight back the odd tear.

Elly1685 · 05/10/2016 07:16

Wow that's lots of pregnant people and babies in one group. It's so difficult because the emotions are so mixed aren't they? I'm sure it will be our time soon! My one friend who is now pg had been trying for over 2 years and was about to be placed on the IVF list and she suddenly got pg when she wasn't even thinking about it - funny how it somehow works out?

I've got my doctors appt tomorrow for blood test results - not quite sure what they are going to show or what the doc might say! Hmmm...! X

YouBoggleMyMind · 05/10/2016 10:35

Sounds frustrating dani, prolly wise to see whether the grumbles show anything.

What time is your appointment elly, fingers crossed everything is ok.

OP posts:
Elly1685 · 05/10/2016 17:40

My appointment is at 4pm - I'll let you all know how I get on!
Anyone in need of a laugh on here .... I ordered insitol and it arrived the other day. My DH said he would put it in my drink for me. He read the instructions and put in two heaped spoons..... he later found the scoop! I probably had a weeks worth in one drink!! Smile! That'll teach me for letting DH take control!!!

Pcos, periods (or lack of!) and a lovely bunch of ladies

danigrace · 06/10/2016 00:52

Thanks Boggle, will let you know how I get on! How are you?

Haha Elly! It wasn't actually as much as you think. I was having the mini scoops at first to but then after a lot of reading on mumsnet found most pcos ladies that take it have about 6g a day which is about a teaspoon I think. Some say split it up half before one meal half before another meal but I don't always remember and often just have the full teaspoon. When I finally get my period one way or another (fingers crossed) I'm going right back to that regime that seemed to be working for me, something else will have to give!
Good luck at the docs, let us know how you get on.

Purple that's a strong positive. You're most fertile a couple days before the +ve opk & the day of, so I wouldn't worry.

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/10/2016 17:20

dani how's it going? Any signs of AF?

elly how did your appointment go?

I'm doing ok although 2 people almost drove into me on the way home!! Feeling a little stressed!!

OP posts:
Elly1685 · 06/10/2016 18:07

I might stick to my tiny scoops for now and see how I get on and up it in a few weeks!

Docs was fine thanks - bloods came back as normal ... which is good (I think). I kind of hoped they would say 'oh look this is a bit low take this pill for 7 days and everything will be normal and easy!' However, I'm being sent for an ultrasound to check for PCOS and referred to a gynaecologist so at least something's being done!

How is everyone?

boggle it's nearly the weekend that's cause for celebration right?

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/10/2016 20:03

Glad the blood work came back normal elly, that's good!
Do you know how long you have to weight for a scan?

OP posts:
Elly1685 · 07/10/2016 12:13

They didn't say how long it would be - I guess they'll just send me a letter!
