New here!! Trying since March when got implant out of arm. Was sure I preggers. 5 days late, usually regular and had lots of symptoms. Had even convinced my hubby. Then when preparing for hpt the inevitable appeared!!! How will I stay sane. Just ordered ovulation strips...

I think not taking symptoms too seriously is the key x

I have no idea how you stay sane tbh. I've been trying since April and have officially lost the plot.

Fx for bfps all round soon. Then sanity can reign again!

Thanks girls. Lovely to know it's normal feeling like this. Not going to read into every symptom next month. Settled my sadness with a glass of something yummy & two wispa bars!!! BFP soon for us all!! 😊😊😊

Hi Leah98 - I am in the same boat literally......trying since March (#1 - how about you?) after coming off the pill, was 6 days late, basically convinced I was......then this morning - AF!

It felt like my world fell apart at 7.45am. I cant believe its only been 3 months it feels like years since we've been trying. I too am now going to start using ovulation strips but not sure which are best.

Hopefully we will both be sharing GOOD news next time round? For now though I'm pretty glum :( Nice to know I'm not the only one (although obv not pleased that others are feeling the same)

It's a total head fuck isn't it? We started trying for baby no 1 in January - so this month is cycle 7. Can hardly believe I'm typing that. Never did I think it would take this long. And it's so awful not knowing how much longer it could take

AF due tomorrow - you'd think I would know better than to get my hopes up by now, but I still can't help but hope this is my month.

Its so crazy isnt it. Wishing you lots of luck suchajem. Are you doing the whole ovulation tracking thing? If so do you have any tips? x

Summer I do track. I find it really reassuring to know I'm getting that hormone surge and timing DTD right. I would advise you to go on your body as much as possible though. Egg white cervical mucus is the most important thing - it sustains the sperm and helps them swim to the right place. So when you see EWCM make sure you DTD

Opks - I use the cheap ones off amazon. I'd start at day 10 of your cycle and do two a day - around lunchtime and again at 5-6 pm.

Keep doing this daily until the test gets as strong as the control.

Then I keep going a day or so until it fades again x

I've bought a couple of ovulation test things. Amazon 25 cheapie strip things and a smilie face one!! Here's hoping they show something. I'm so used to negative hpt that to see anything would be nice. First time trying these out.
This is ttc #3. I'm 39 and feeling the pressure due to my age.
Let's give these ovulation tests a whirl this cycle!!

peskyfeelings - just seen your post sorry, is this your 1st ttc? Are you doing the ovulation testing as well or are you about to give them a try with us this cycle?

Girls. My Amazon delivery is here. I'm armed (with ovu tests) & ready to go. At least I'll see if my body is working and have less of a guessing game. Thought I'd got over my disappointment this month, but have outbursts at other random stuff!!

Fx you get your bfp this month! I was so sure I was pregnant this month too - nausea, painful boobs, heightened sense of smell everything. Was testing from 10dpo because I was so convinced, bfn except a possible faint positive on a clearblue on 13dpo, then AF rocks up right on time.

Fx for you all too xx it's all so familiar when I read these messages xx I had a very faint line on a sure sign test- but only with my glasses on, holding it at a tilt, at the window, with one eye closed lol. Equally I could have completely imagined it--that's how faint it was 😯

I know what you mean about feeling positive one minute and sad the next. I have nieces and nephews which is great and I'm very close to them, but recently being with them hasnt filled me with joy its filled me with sadness that I do so want to sit them down and see their little faces when I tell them they're going to have a new cousin. My mind ran so far ahead on those few days I thought it was a BFP - I know you shouldnt do it but sometimes it cannot be helped - and it makes the sadness so much more :(
Still, a new cycle and a new chance. My cycles are pretty long though so I'm a little conscious that its not a "monthly" chance I've got.
I'm going to start testing in a week or so - keep me posted when you start yours xx

Hello Highway and BTDD - sorry to hear you are both familiar with the sadness too. I do think there is comfort knowing that others are going through the same thing though.

BTDD - is this your 1st ttc?

Summer yes it's different when your mind runs ahead. I had my due date worked out. Seems so daft now ☹️☹️
Started ovu testing today with both tests. But think it's too early. Both had no surge. Just was impatient & wanted to check!! Keep us updated xx
