Hi everyone here is the August bus carrying on from the one I was on previous month with u ladies.

Had my implant out yesterday and gp said I should be good to go within a week.

Sounds like (four!) good signs, McBaby - good luck.

Sorry it's not this month, Calm.

I have now firmly arrived at losing the plot, and only 6 dpo! (Nice and early, as promised.)

I have so many symptoms already but 1) they're definitely things I have this time every month, or just any time, and 2) I know it's probably too early to feel much anyway even if we are that lucky. So probably I'm either paying more attention to usual symptoms, or it's a bit phantom. But, then again... I-feel-different-and-I-totally-just-know-something's-happening!

So, yep, common sense: Out. The. Window.

I'm trying to hide as much of the crazy as I can from DH (which we both know is fooling no-one, but I feel like he appreciates / is amused by the effort), so it's really good to be able to come on here and just share the "Gaaaaaaaahhh" really; thanks!

miwelaisjacydo · 03/08/2016 15:57

Ovia is an app that tracks ovulation but Ovia is a botch and just likes having a go at you. I hated the app so deleted.

Writerwannabe83 · 03/08/2016 15:59

danigrace - my cycles are all over the place, ranging from 27-35 days so I'd have no idea when I would be considered "late" which is a bit annoying.

Still no period though.

I was supposed to be going into torn today and I probably would have bought some HPTs (because I think I'm addicted) but instead I've spent the afternoon in A&E with my toddler! He's absolutely fine and he's probably saved me a fortune as I would have gone and bought 10 FRERs or something Grin

mcbaby - congratulations!!

calmisthemantra - really sorry that AF arrived Flowers

SoozC · 03/08/2016 16:15

Hi Bus!

Congrats mcbaby!

Af due 12th/13th August so testing after then if no af. Fx for everyone testing soon!

MishyBakes · 03/08/2016 16:30

Hi Daisy
This is my first time using OPKs during the tww. I've read that LH and hcg have a similar structure, and that it might be possible to pick up early hcg on the OPKs. Not sure if I believe this, however I have loads of OPKs and not a huge number of frers and hpts. To be honest, it's probably meaningless, but it's stopping me from POAS constantly!

I'm in a similar boat to you re symptoms and high temps. Let's hope it's a good sign

danigrace · 03/08/2016 16:41

McBaby congrats!! Flowers

Good luck for Saturday Mishy & Pjs!

Skipper how long did you say you've been trying?

Calm ugh sorry to hear that, a 28 cycle would still have you just about on the August bus though!

Daisy (waves!) Nice to see you over here! opks can be used as early pregnancy tests (this explains it - www.justmommies.com/articles/opk-as-hpt.shtml ), but one or two glasses of wine won't hurt, just try not to get smashed! Grin

Queen haha you're so funny! Good way of putting how most of us feel every month lol.

Writer glad your little one is okay! Have you been temping this cycle?

Writerwannabe83 · 03/08/2016 16:59

danigrace - I can't temp as I'm up different times each day (shift work) and I have a toddler who usually has me up twice every night so any temperatures I did take would be pretty meaningless.

Based on my OPKS, I may not have ovulated until the 24th July (though it's unlikely it was late) but that would still make me 10dpo so you would imagine a test would detect something by now?

Daisy111 · 03/08/2016 17:34

Thanks Mishy and Dani!

You're right - a couple of glasses won't hurt. And sod it - I need it!

That's interesting about OPKs. I will do an IC on Friday, and assuming negative, let my hair down!

Xx

misstiggiwinkle · 03/08/2016 18:31

Congratulations Mcbaby!!! Can u post a pic of your tests including the opk? Give us something to look at!

I've had another line on an opk today but not darker than yesterday so will be really interesting to see how this goes. I'm now at 8dpo and starting to get itchy to poas but trying desperately to hold off. No real symptoms today other than exhaustion but then I was up x5 last night with ds1 so no wonder I'm shattered!

Mishy that chart is looking promising

Writer really hope you and dc are ok?

Calm that sucks but at least no more limbo

Welcome newbies!

McBaby · 03/08/2016 18:35

I would but I have come to my mums house for the night to get away from the builders with the kids :)

I will try a again tomorrow and see what happens. Feeling like imagined them all this morning.

Writerwannabe83 · 03/08/2016 18:49

tiggiwinkle - he's fine, I just found him with a strip of paracetamol tablets and couldn't be sure he hadn't eaten any of them. I rang 111 and they advised I go to A&E but thankfully he was fine Smile

sk1pper · 03/08/2016 18:57

Dani - it will be 12 months trying by the end of August. I'll be 29 by then, DH is 35 and it's our first time trying.

My mum took 18 months to conceive me - I found this out quite by accident the other day as only my sister knows I'm trying. So I'm hoping its nothing to worry about, just some hereditary thing for first conception.

danigrace · 04/08/2016 00:02

Writer gosh you're a busy lady!! I've got everything crossed for you!

Tiggi ooh exciting, when do you plan on testing?

Skipper that must be reassuring about your Mum. I'm 29 too & been trying for 10 months. Do you have a regular cycle?

WELL I'm not well grrrr. One of my cousins I was away with this weekend was coming down with something and now my throat is really sore & DH telling me it's cold whilst I can't believe the heating isn't on and fully blasting... I doubt this will help my temping. And I don't want to be ill in my first cycle since March... This is most inconvenient

miwelaisjacydo · 04/08/2016 07:02

Morning everyone how are we all?
Dani oh no poor you.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/08/2016 07:04

AF is now 4 days later than expected but still BFN.

I have fully accepted I'm not pregnant but I just wish AF would hurry up so I can just move forwards.

sk1pper · 04/08/2016 07:37

Writer - what a pain! It's like rubbing salt in the wound when AF is so late and it's a BFN.

Dani - my cycle is so regular, I could have written the book. I could probably get away with not using OPKs too but next month I'm going to try testing for a second spike as I haven't done that yet. Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, I'm glad (in the nicest way possible) you've been trying for a while too, makes me feel less lonely. I hope we can experience our BFP together.

miwelaisjacydo · 04/08/2016 08:14

Am so so hot here it feels like 1000% to me.

peasandquiet · 04/08/2016 08:14

So frustrating when you are late but not pregnant writer. Fingers crossed you get BFP or AF pronto so you know where you are.

McBaby · 04/08/2016 08:30

Two negative tests this morning so now have no clue what is happening!

sk1pper · 04/08/2016 09:01

Mcbaby - what cycle day are you now? Do you feel different? Not sure how early you can feel symptoms of pregnancy...

Upthetree100 · 04/08/2016 09:45

dani how crap is that! Really hope you feel better soon Flowers

sk1pper don't feel alone I have been trying for 2 years and I understand how frustrating and demoralising bfn after bfn can be I hope we all get our bfp's soon! Have you 'actively' been trying for a solid 12 months? If so does your gp know, they may be able to give you some advice.

sk1pper · 04/08/2016 10:16

Upthetree100 - sorry to hear that, is it your first time trying and what has your GP said?

We're going to the GP as a couple after our holiday which is in a few weeks time. We've been actively trying since last August but the first 3 cycles were a bit disorganised as I hadn't worked out my cycle and ovulation day. I think I assumed it would just happen without any real effort.

danigrace · 04/08/2016 10:24

Thanks ladies, I hope it doesn't last long! Didn't sleep well last night bc I couldn't breathe properly & I've got a load of work to get through today (I'm self-employed so if it doesn't get done I don't get paid!).

Writer that's so frustrating! Do you still feel 'periody'?

Skipper & Tree we're in good company here, & I hope so too!! Skipper deffo worth having all the tests done imo just to put your mind at ease or if there is something that needs a little work at least you can identify it and move forward.

Miwela where are you?

McBaby oh no... that's annoying. When is/was AF due?

Writerwannabe83 · 04/08/2016 10:32

dani - over the last hour I have felt very period-like so hopefully it will be here before the end of the day!!

McBaby · 04/08/2016 11:54

I am on cd31 post miscarrige and 10dpo so no idea when period was/is due usually have 28 day cycle and 14 day Lo but know miscarrige can screw this up length of luteal phase and period can be 4-8 weeks after.
