Hi all,

Has anyone had acupuncture for fertility?

Just wondering how frequently you should have it and what are the most important times in the cycle?

Hi sorry I haven't had acupuncture, just bumping this. I'd be interested in info too, there was a MNer a while ago going for accupunture ( think it might have been on May bus) never heard how she got on though.

Hi there. I had acupuncture following a miscarriage a couple of years ago. I couldn't at all 'reset' after the ERPC - periods crazy, felt as though I was a million miles away from conceiving. Had course of acupuncture over a couple of months, and my cycle regulated very quickly. I also found that my acupuncturist had time a GP just doesn't have, understandably, to talk about my stresses at work, personally and my diet / exercise issues (I may have been overdoing running and guilty of skipping lunches when work was busy etc). I quickly felt so much healthier and happier, and I really credit acupuncture with that. I was pg with my first baby 3 months after starting acupuncture. My little boy is now crawling around and generally wishing I would get off the computer now :)
Problem of course is that I can't say for sure the acupuncture helped - I didn't have any serious fertility issues. But for me, I feel strongly that it is the reason my gorgeous DS is here now

A friend of my sister did it before and during her treatment. She had 3 cycles failed and decided to give acupuncture a try. It might be just a coincidence but she got pregnant at best Polish in vitro clinics on her first attempt.
