Strong metallic taste

Month 8 of TTC. Today is CD24 and this pm I developed a strong metallic taste in my mouth. Could I be pregnant?

Or you could have Bell's Palsy That's what mine was.

CandyCrush77 · 23/06/2016 22:51

Not really what I was wanting to hear hamabeads. I don't have any other signs and given that we are actively TTC I think/hope pregnancy is the more likely explanation.

I was in the same position. I had very strong metallic taste. Two days later face paralysed etc. However, I was also pregnant but didn't find out for two or three more weeks. Luckily I had seen a doctor who didn't believe steroids helped!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 23/06/2016 23:20

It was my first symptom with all my pregnancies. Good luck.

allthekingsshoes · 23/06/2016 23:22

Yes my first symptom too. Good luck

BoBo90 · 23/06/2016 23:28

If you know it's a of symptom and your ttc and the right time of cycle why bother making a thread to ask if you could be pg? No one here can tell you.
I know it's exciting but wait it out and test when you can.

Hormonal ladies on this thread Confused

CandyCrush77 · 23/06/2016 23:51

BoBo, go away! Seriously! How many threads are there speculating about whether you are pregnant! Are you telling them all to wait and test?

OP posts:

I know no-one here can tell me thank you. I was asking because:

  1. I've been pregnant twice before and never had this symptom;
  2. I've read about it but never heard of anyone having this symptom in real life:
  3. I've had "symptoms" the last 4 months and am never pregnant. I am trying to work out if this is in my head.

Is that ok? Is my thread allowed??

Allthekings and atruth, thank you for your positive replies. Do you remember how early in your pregnancy you got the taste?

OP posts:
allthekingsshoes · 24/06/2016 15:57

Eek I remember exactly when it happened as I was away for the weekend and after 18 months of ttc I was trying to ignore it. So I think it was the first day I could have tested and I was on a normalish 28 day cycle. Like you it was a symptom I hadn't had before . Hope it's what you want it to be .

allthekingsshoes · 24/06/2016 15:59

I've looked the jargon up and it was evening of cd27. Hth

CandyCrush77 · 24/06/2016 17:10

Thanks allthekings. I texted this morning (CD25/DPO 12) and BFN with First Response. Guessing it must be accurate? Buggeration.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that Candy. Onto next month..... Wishing you all the best

jpclarke · 24/06/2016 22:52

I wouldn't lose hope yet, until af arrives you are not out. A metallic taste is something I always get when I am pregnant.
