Ok- eyes down for the pub quiz- the person with the answers I most want to hear gets a round of drinks. And we're off.......

  1. How long does the egg live for once released?
  1. how long do sperm live for in the lady garden?
  1. Does EWCM arrive before during or after ovulation? I had some on thursday and Friday but none yesterday, the day i was due to ovulate.
  1. I BD'd on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday morning and last night but didn't do it Friday which is supposedly the best day to do it- has falling asleep during midsomer murders messed up my chances this month?

Thats all ladies and gentlemen, answers to the stage please, heres a bit of light music before we start marking answers......

Since starting to try I have become amazed that anyone manages it, let alone that millions do, let alone without even trying.

ammylovesbabies · 21/01/2007 09:40

I just hope that all our efforts this month come good. I feel gutted that we didn't have sex on Friday- have almost given up cos of that hiccup!

Thanks [sips vodka in a ladylike manner].

It's ridiculous, isn't it? When we were ttc it all seemed very hit and miss. There was this article in the Times when we were tcc which explained all the timings. They seem to think that sperm can live for 4 or 5 days, so sex before and up to the day of ovulation is important - so you haven't stuffed up your chances this month at all!

Damn... too late for the quiz. Liked the link to the article though!!

babylove123 · 21/01/2007 20:11

ammylovesbabies · 21/01/2007 21:14

Is it thicker than it was? I get a lot about 5 days before im due to ov, really thick jelly like stuff (sorry if TMI!). Then around ov, it is still there but a lot thinner and almost like liquid. Post ov, it gets really thick again (like it is @ the mo) so i think im post ov. Its supposed to be thick after to block the cervix.

Oooh do i get anything for that info?!

greenblock · 22/01/2007 18:25

do you want to see some far tmi pictures?

babylove123 · 22/01/2007 21:37

Oooh as slightly stomach turning as that was, it was highly informative! I must admit, i have been doing the "finger stretching test" for a while, it does work.....i think!

Thanks!
