Try not to worry about that Friendly, although I know that is so much easier said than done. That's exciting re the scan, really hope it all goes well xx

mascaraisamust · 13/09/2016 05:41

Friendly don't worry about the CB, if you are 5+5, 5+6 it might say that. Remember it doesn't account for date of conception and you always add two weeks to the CB tests; so 2-3 weeks adding on 2 would be 5 weeks pregnant. By next week it should say 3+. CB digi tests drove me mad. I think I did about 5! I'll check back Friday and hope to hear good news. For now relax, look after yourself and most of all don't Google and have unnecessary worry. My advice anyway.

Sunshine hope you can give cyclogest one more go. How many cycles have you done on it?

sunshinegirl12 · 14/09/2016 13:25

Just been told by another close friend at work that she has just had her 12 week scan, this is so hard. I'm really not sure how much more I can take. Sad

Appointment at the clinic tomorrow, I hope we can start treatment ASAP but not sure how quickly we'll be able to sort out any extra tests they want us to have. It all just feels impossible right now Sad

mascaraisamust · 14/09/2016 14:15

Flowers sunshine, you will get there soon I know it. It's hard I know but you will have your moment and it will be all the more special Star keep positive with your next steps, everyone's journey is different but what's meant to be will always fine a way x

Friendlycav · 14/09/2016 18:55

Sending hugs Sunshine. I really hope your appointment tomorrow goes well, I'll be thinking of you. Even if you can't start this cycle, you are so close to getting treatment.

I have decided to postpone my scan on Friday. It costs quite a lot for the scan and as it's such early days for me, I will just worry more if it's inconclusive so I've rescheduled for next Friday.

Hugs Mrs Flowers do you mind me asking why you wouldn't have a scan so early? Would you just wait until the 12 week scan? xx

Oh Mrs I entirely understand now. How dreadfully unlucky to be in that 2%, I can't imagine how awful that must have been. I think I will go ahead with the scan next week (7weeks) but will of course keep in the back of my mind that things are still not guaranteed xx

I'm feeling good thanks Mrs, really tired but fine other than that. Anxious for my scan next week, wishing the next week away!

Sunshine, how did your appointment go? x

sunshinegirl12 · 16/09/2016 17:49

The appointment went well, we were there nearly 2 hours so it was quite thorough and the clinic had a nice relaxed feel, although it will be a different clinic for egg collection/transfer. The clinic have recommended a short protocol so will hopefully start on CD2 next cycle, we were able to get all the required bloods done there and then so thats one less thing to sort. We have opted for the 3 cycle package, as you only pay for 2 and get the 3rd free, although the success rate is just under 50% per cycle so hopefully we will be lucky the first time. During my internal scan they spotted a small fibroid which scared me, but apparently its not the type that affects fertility. Hmm

Am going to give it our best shot this cycle before starting IVF as would obviously be amazing not to have to go through all that (not to mention saving the money). It all feels quite surreal, I never thought it would come to this.

Mrsunsure, hope you're doing ok, when is your next appointment?

Friendly, good to hear you're feeling ok xx

Friendlycav · 16/09/2016 18:41

That all sounds really positive Sunshine, exciting! I wonder how doctor's decide whether to put someone on a long or short protocol? I know more than one person who conceived naturally once they had got their head around starting IVF so I'm still rooting for you to conceive naturally. I hope you are feeling better about everything, it must feel really good to have an action plan in place. Wishing you all the luck in the world xx

How are you all doing?

Had my appointment with the NHS yesterday, as it stands I don't fit the critera to have treatment on the NHS as my AMH is too low but I've had it re-tested so we will see, although we were planning to go private anyway it's always good to have a backup plan.

We were hoping to start IVF at the start of my next cycle but am currently 3dpo and started spotting already!! I really hope its not the start of AF as we still have a few things to sort before it's all ready to start so if it is, it will mean waiting another month Angry I don't know if I should start taking the cyclogest now so if it is AF to try and delay it??

Honestly, while trying to sort this IVF stuff every little thing seems to be working against me, I just want to get started now!! xx

mascaraisamust · 22/09/2016 05:44

If it 3dpo that's when you should start taking cyclogest? That could be implantation? Don't wait for the bfp!

I agree with Mascara and Mrs, there is no harm in starting cyclogest and it will buy you some time if you need it. I've got everything crossed for you.

Not much to report my end, I have my early scan tomorrow so feeling nervous about that xx

mascaraisamust · 22/09/2016 11:15

Good luck Friendly, I'm sure everything will be fine. Keep busy until then x

The bleeding has got heavier today so think it is AF, suppose it is just one of those weird cycles maybe down to stress. Only had a 3 day luteal phase though which I'm a little concerned about. Hmm So won't be able to start the IVF this cycle as haven't even got my prescription yet. Suppose it's only another 23 days until we can (hopefully) start.

Sorry you're also feeling fed up Mrsunsure, it's all so frustrating when it should be such a simple thing esp when other people conceive who aren't even trying!

Goodluck for tomorrow Friendly xx

Friendlycav · 23/09/2016 17:29

Unfortunately the scan today was inconclusive. The embryo is measuring a week younger than it should and the doctor said there was only a 50:50 chance of things progressing. Feel so gutted as really wanted to get good news today. I know all is not lost but I need to prepare myself for the worst. This is such a rollercoaster :(

I hope you are doing ok Sunshine and Mrs and hope you are staying positive xx

Friendlycav · 23/09/2016 17:30

Should have said I'm 7 weeks and 3 days x

sunshinegirl12 · 23/09/2016 17:35

Friendly, so sorry to hear this, it's all so unfair when it's so hard to even reach this stage. Really hoping that everything works out ok, try to relax and take good care of yourself. When is your next scan? xx

Friendlycav · 23/09/2016 19:00

Thanks Sunshine. The news hasn't really sunk in yet, feel a bit numb. I'll go back for another scan in 7-10 days x
