Writer Good luck. I'm sure it will happen though - you've caught once before post-DS and I'm sure you'll do it again, and DH will come round to the idea. It sounds like it all just came at a tricky point with DS.

I've been giving DD formula for her lunchtime feed for a week though. I hope I can keep it up - there's always some excuse to give her breast rather than bottle (e.g. A couple of weeks ago she had a tummy bug). I suppose part of me feels guilty to be trying to cut down when it took until she was 7 months to give up her formula top up feeds....

Pumkinpie1 · 03/09/2016 07:04

jpclarke · 04/09/2016 22:04

Congrats Oracle, I am thrilled for you.

Writer, I experienced an early loss earlier this year and like you thought it had to do with breastfeeding but I am still breastfeeding and I am just over 14 weeks pregnant. I would suggest taking an iron supplement and vitamin b 6 and hopefully you will get some good news soon.

oatybiscuits · 06/09/2016 10:42

Hello! I'm new! Ds is 2 next month but still a big milk monster, we're going to begin night weaning in the next few weeks, anyone done it and come out the other side? I've just come off the pill 2 weeks ago so trying to figure out what on earth my body's up to but I'm not getting any clues Confused glad there's other people here- I'm not sure how I feel about being pg and breastfeeding but it seems silly to try and stop when I'm not even pg.. So we'll see how night weaning goes, he's not such a big feeder during the day so things might begin to tail off then. Left to his own devices I think ds would still be boobing at high school!

TheOracleAtSelfie · 06/09/2016 13:49

Thanks all. Now it's sunk in I'm really delighted and just hoping for a healthy pregnancy.

Fx for all the rest of you in the 2WW - napping how are you doing? It must be close to POAS time? Wink

Jooni · 06/09/2016 16:27

Welcome oaty! Amazing that you've breastfed for so long. I'm no expert on night-weaning as my DD started sleeping through of her own accord eventually, but I'm sure some of the other ladies will be able to advise you.

Napping How are you doing? And Oracle, how are you feeling?

I'm 7DPO now but have been incredibly stressed this cycle. I keep having what I assume are like mini panic-attacks, horrible. I've been sleeping terribly too. I'm not sure what's suddenly up but the only thing I can think of is that I've been letting this TTC lark take over a bit too much. I need to try and think about other stuff for a bit so I might not be around here as much. Wishing you all the very best of luck!

oatybiscuits · 06/09/2016 23:26

Oof that sounds rough jooni, stepping back for a wee while sounds sensible. Something about ttc does feed the obsessive in me! Although second time round I feel the shines off a little, I know I'll probably have spd again and I'm very likely to have another (insomniac) allergy baby and it would be lovely to just be a bit naive and think everything's going to be fine!

lullaby23 · 08/09/2016 11:27

Welcome to new thread joiners!

Back from holiday now and enjoying some horrible jet-lag and cranky badly sleeping toddler! Didn't track at all this cycle so as ever not holding out much hope and expect to have a fresh start with cycle 5 next week. Brought a fresh batch of ICs with me plus will be firing up the trusty CBFM too!

jooni totally sympathise with the overthinking and stressing about TTC, it really can't help but it's so easy to get a bit obsessed. Hope your time out helps you to relax a bit (although I know being told to relax is the most annoying thing sorry!)

jp wow 14 weeks that has flown by! How are you doing? Have you had your scan? So exciting!

Pumkinpie1 · 08/09/2016 11:57

Welcome oaty ! Gosh oracle that has flown so glad everything is going ok !
Jooni sorry to hear your having problems, maybe a step back might be a good thing. Hope your feeling better soon

Hope you had a good holiday lullaby , got my fingers crossed for you.
It appears I am not ovulating according to the CB monitor for some reason don't no why or how to kick start it Angry

dillydollydarling · 09/09/2016 08:44

Hello all Smile I'm joining this thread as I'm having my implant taken out next week to ttc baby number 2! My 12 month old is still breastfeeding regularly and several times during the night! DH seems to think I'll get pregnant really quickly again but I'm not so sure. Just going to see how things go for now!

Pumkinpie1 · 09/09/2016 09:44

Sorry panicked too early according to CB I'm ovulating today or tomorrow phew ! but it's cycle day 17 today fingers crossed for a good length LP Hmm
Hello Dilly fingers crossed your oh is right.

dillydollydarling · 09/09/2016 10:02

Does anyone use any particular apps to keep track of cycles? I'd like to use one but no idea which ones are any good!

Pumkinpie1 · 09/09/2016 10:29

I use fertility friend dilly can be as simple or as advanced as you like it

NappingRabbit · 09/09/2016 19:05

Just catching up. AF arrived at 9dpo so I'm on to cycle 3 - currently on CD8 so just waiting for things to get interesting again in a week or so.

I think having got pregnant so quickly last time I expected the same to happen again this time around, so both cycles I've built my hopes up. Trying to be more reasoned this month! In many ways, it's not a terrible thing if it takes a little while this time - work wise, especially - but I'm generally a bit of a control freak and like to be efficient so I find the whole process v frustrating!

I would be fine waiting 6/9/12 months if I knew that's when it would happen, it's the not knowing that drives me crazy!

dilly I use Fertility Friend and have downloaded Ovia too recently which is quite nicely laid out.

boatrace30 · 10/09/2016 07:28

Hi everyone, sorry I dropped off the thread a bit. Back to work after the holidays and struggling to juggle everything. Wow, oracle - amazing news 😊.

Aries you sound just like me. I was getting the ewcm and the cramps but fully stopping seemed to be what was needed for me.

jooni I understand the stress completely, I'm not there yet but last time round I got very obsessive.

A big welcome to all the new people.

I had ewcm on cd16 and dtd so guess I'm now on the 2ww. But because of pcos I've never ever had a regular cycle so very interested to see what happens... As I've heated pregnancy can sort t out. Fingers crossed! And good luck to everyone out there who is either on the 2ww or waiting for ovulation

boatrace30 · 10/09/2016 07:29

"Heating" = heard!

lullaby23 · 13/09/2016 08:38

pumkin glad you are ovulating after all! I don't think cd17 is too late or unusual fingers crossed for a decent LP for you.

Welcome dilly. I also use FF for tracking.

napping I agree same with me caught on cycle 2 last time and just want to know it's not pointless to try especially when still BFing!

Fingers crossed for you boatrace.

I started feeling queasy on Sunday night and thought I'd start doing some symptom spotting but turned out I'd caught the same tummy bug (or food poisoning) as DH so been pretty much laid up yesterday!

Decided to do an IC this morning (est. 11 DPO) just in case and thought I saw a hint of a shadow line but maybe just an evap, will try again tomorrow to work out if I'm seeing things!

User11220 · 13/09/2016 15:56

Sounds hopeful lullaby. Good luck!
I finally got a solid smiley on cd 21 after 8 days of flashing smilies. Have dtd from cd 14 every second day up to including last night. As I got the solid this morning I'm wondering whether we should dtd again tonight or wait until tomorrow evening? I don't really want to do both tonight and tomorrow as that will be three days in a row which I find a bit much mid week Wink Any advice?

lullaby23 · 13/09/2016 16:27

user I have mentioned up thread or maybe on a previous thread that I have read a book called The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant and the author says last day of high & first peak day are your best bet if you believe her!

User11220 · 13/09/2016 16:40

That's great lullaby, thank you Flowers

User11220 · 13/09/2016 16:51

That extract is interesting lullaby. Would you recommend the book generally? I'm definitely impatient! My number of high days is varying quite a bit (though this is only my third month using opks) so that makes it more difficult to plan dtd on the last day of high but it's worked out that way this month so fingers crossed. I feel like I might have ovulated this morning (had that sensation in my abdomen) but maybe I'm just working up to it. I started temping this month but it's very erratic so far. I'm still up from time to time at night so that's probably to be expected. Will wait and see what it looks like after a full cycle.

lullaby23 · 14/09/2016 01:15

user yes I think it's a decent read, devoured it first time round and dipped into the bits about supplements and timing as a reminder this time!

Um eyes required please I'm not imagining a very faint second line am I??
