Pumkinpie1 · 25/07/2016 10:01

Congratulations cineraria ! That's brill news!
Thanks for the info too!
It's got to be our month this month lullaby !!

lullaby23 · 25/07/2016 10:44

pumkin yes fingers crossed this is our month and everyone else on the thread still waiting too!

How many BFPs is that so far? Lost count!

lullaby23 · 25/07/2016 11:08

Sorry spamming again but this is the SMEP (free) ebook in addition to the website link www.amazon.co.uk/Sperm-Meets-Egg-Plan-Pregnant-ebook/dp/B009O1ZYQG

Cineraria · 25/07/2016 12:13

Thanks both. Yes, lullaby, I'm still feeding six times a day for fifteen minutes (both sides at each feed) and I think it was still seven times when I ovulated as he dropped a feed a week or so ago. I haven't directly encouraged him to reduce feeds as we're vegetarian plus he can't have cows milk and I want to make sure he gets enough calcium and protein. He does eat big meals though and I'm encouraging him to drink plenty of water at mealtimes by letting him pick mint in the garden to put in his cup. He loves mint water (and pulling at the mint plants!) so he might be drinking less even though it seems the same to me.

ZoeB2016 · 26/07/2016 11:10

Hi Ladies, good luck to you all. Do you mind if join?
I'm playing the waiting game at the moment. I'm still breastfeeding my 9month old DS. Dh and I got carried away 6 days ago and ended up using no protection. Have had a tiny bit of spotting (two tiny light pink dots) I'm hoping was implantation bleeding even though it may well be too early and have found that feeding my son is painful at the moment which is definitely unusual. My cycle hasn't returned to normal although I had a really light period about 38 days ago. We were not actively ttc but now there is a chance I could be I am keeping my fingers crossed, I'm still not sure my DH is ready to start actually trying for another even though he seems excited about the possibility that I could be so it is quite likely this will be a one off for the forseeable future but the more I think about it the more hopeful i am. I know it's really unlikely though. Good luck to you all.

lullaby23 · 26/07/2016 12:10

That's great cineraria you must be super fertile with all that feeding still! Are you planning to carry on / tandem if possible?

Welcome zoeb fingers crossed it was implantation, do you have an idea of when to test?

ZoeB2016 · 26/07/2016 12:46

Thanks lullaby, no idea at all haha. I'm thinking 14 days from us DTD should be long enough. I know IRS really unlikely just from a 1 off and my cycles not really back so am trying not to get my hopes up.

ZoeB2016 · 26/07/2016 12:48
  • it's not IRS
NappingRabbit · 26/07/2016 13:55

Congratulations cineraria!

Having thought I might be ovulating a couple of times this month I'm pretty sure I actually did yesterday. CD20, had EWCM again and a near positive OPK (as good a line as I've ever had on them, I never seem to get proper positives) but it was the first time I felt ovulation cramping like I used to pre-DS. DTD Friday and last night, so will see what happens. If I did in fact ov yesterday then AF is due on our wedding anniversary. A BFP would be a pretty great present!

Cineraria · 26/07/2016 14:23

Yes, lullaby, I want to feed him until he wants to stop himself. He will start nursery in October and I like the fact that it helps their immunity as most of my colleague's babies seem to be ill all the time when they start nursery. The nursery is at my workplace, about ten minutes' walk from my office, so I could go to feed him in my lunch break too if he wants.

I was really wondering how it happened so quickly as my two previous pregnancies took a lot longer to happen. The only thing I can come up with is that when his reflux medicine started working as we got the dose right, he stopped feeding constantly through the night (only way we got any sleep) and just had three short night feeds, so that may have jump started everything. Also, as I didn't stop eating the amount I'd needed to eat to cope with the all night feeds, I've been putting on a bit of weight since then and I've heard that helps with fertility when breastfeeding.

Thanks, Napping, good luck to you for an extra reason to celebrate on your anniversary. That would be lovely.

Fingers crossed for you too, Zoe. I think 18 months will ne a nice age gap.

ZoeB2016 · 26/07/2016 19:49

Thanks cineraria and congratulations! I think it would be a nice age gap too so am definitely keeping my fingers crossed atm and trying to avoid the temptation to poas already haha. Knowing my luck it will just be AF properly making her return.

jpclarke · 27/07/2016 23:00

Hi, just checked in there to see what has been happening with all you ladies. Sorry to hear about af arriving for some and a huge congratulations Cineraria. There is definitely 3 maybe 4 of us now who have had positive news so here's hoping it won't take some more of you long either. Nearly 9 weeks now, and it is so sore when ds feeds, nipples have got really tender. My symptoms are different this time too, but only 13 more sleeps until my scan so hopefully everything will be ok. Best of luck to all you ladies in tww, and I hope those who are ovulation spotting that it happens soon xx

boatrace30 · 28/07/2016 07:20

Congratulations cineraria. I'm starting to get frustrated. No sign of AF and no POAS either. Just still nothing happening, though I do get ewcm on and off. Off on holiday later and will fully wean when we are back at the end of next week. ☹ DD is already a bit "take it or leave it" with her pre bedtime feed, so that will be easy to drop. Perhaps not so in the morning. We'll see!

lullaby23 · 28/07/2016 11:27

That's lovely cineraria would be great to tandem and I love the word "nursling" so cute! I think the antibodies are important for as long as is possible/practical. DS is rarely ill touch wood but doesn't go to nursery so not as exposed to tiny children germs. So great you can visit in your lunch hour too. I have also read eating plenty can trick your body into providing for another DC but being a glutton hasn't worked for me so far Shock

zoeb you never know you could be one of the lucky ones! Let us know how you get on.

Good news on O napping and fingers crossed for a perfect anniversary gift! I'm so envious of those of you who can feel O I am so clueless in comparison.

Glad things are ticking over for you jp and a sympathetic wince on the sensitive nipples I had it for my entire pregnancy and hope it doesn't come back this time or will be weaning sharply!

Sad face boatrace hope you don't have to wean before you or DD are ready. We are the same re: not bothered about pre bed feed but ravenous for boob first thing!

My latest set of supplements have arrived and AF on her way out so just waiting for FW to come around tum te tum. Think the greedy CBFM monster wants me to start feeding it sticks on Sunday Grin Planning to stick with the 2 feeds for now and see how we get on. Realised I will be away from DS for a long weekend in a few months so I guess we might wean then but who knows where we'll be then.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Abrahamkin · 28/07/2016 13:39

I'm not yet TTC, but I am still breastfeeding my 17 mo DC and will have my coil taken out next week. I hope it is OK to join you a few days early! I have been worrying about this and if I should stop, but it looks like others have managed to get pregnant while breastfeeding.

aries92 · 28/07/2016 13:54

Ooops, fell off the thread. Thanks everyone for welcoming me Grin and hello to more newbies!
Cineraria - congrats on your BFP!
Still no sign of AF for me. Stopped daytime BF 4 weeks ago, but still feeding 4-5 times morning/evening/overnight. Just had a couple of days of EWCM pretty much a month after the last time and had a faint line on an OPK, so my body's doing something!

boatrace30 · 28/07/2016 14:08

aries sounds like you're in a similar place to me though DD feeds less frequently. Hopefully we'll get AF soon (or even better a BFP)

aries92 · 28/07/2016 14:50

boatrace Oooh, fingers crossed for us both.
I'm going to replace his morning feed too as of next week, so hopefully that'll help...

Bimbum · 28/07/2016 16:43

Hi ladies, I was feeling queasy today so I took a test another test - 7 days post DTD (no idea if i ovulated) so I know it's way too early but am a poas addict. A CB early one as I can't seem to find FRERs anywhere, I got a very faint but definitely there blue line to make the + cross. I'm not getting my hopes up as I know you can't really trust blue dye tests as much, going to test again when the FRERs I've ordered online come, I'm so nervous I don't know what to think x

Bimbum · 28/07/2016 16:54

Haha also forgot to name change :) I am zoeb x

Cineraria · 28/07/2016 18:10

Thanks all for the congratulations. This thread does seem to have had a few successes. I'm joining it happens fairly soon for the rest of you and we then move over to a thread in the ante-natal group section for sore nipple support!

How exciting, Zoeb! I didn't know that blue dye tests aren't reliable (I always buy the big packs of cheap strips until I'm actually pregnant and then a twin pack of the digital ones that confirm the date). I hope these ones are telling the truth though. You must be really excited!

It's interesting that early morning feeds are the most important ones to some of your babies. We don't have one until after I've showered and we've both had breakfast. He grumps a bit when he gets up but is easily distracted by anything, but especially his potty, which he loves. I get to have really nice long showers if he is sitting on it and as a bonus very few dirty nappies!

Fingers crossed for you both to get AF soon, boatrace and aries and welcome and good luck to you too Abrahamkin

lullaby23 · 29/07/2016 08:45

Welcome abrahamkin good luck with the coil removal and hope everything gets back to normal for you soon.

Wow zoebimbum that sounds promising hope you can confirm with a different test if you're unsure but understood false positives are v rare.

Impressed with the potty cineraria! I wouldn't dare leave DS to his own devices with one as I'm sure he'd tip it upside down like he does with everything else Shock I usually leave him in the highchair with ipad and snacks when I need a shower and DH is away, not idea but he is happy for 20 mins...

There is a grads thread which seems to have gone a bit quiet maybe you can revive it? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2435891-TTC-and-still-breastfeeding-Graduate-Thread-1

DH has changed is travel dates and is coming back a day later so I'm a bit peed off re: DTD schedule but can't be helped now.

Bimbum · 29/07/2016 10:00

Morning ladies, hope you are all having a good day so far. I took the other cb test today as I am still waiting on my FRERs to arrive and I'm pretty sure yesterday was a fluke, the line today was a real squinter...so much so I'm not even sure I can see it and definitely less visable than yesterday. I'm feeling quite deflated now Lol. Hope you ladies get good news if you are testing today and good luck to anyone still in this month !!

This was yesterday's test - the line was more visible in person and came up straight away so I'm afraid I did get a little bit excited which was silly looking back. Am just glad I didn't show DH x

TTC while Breastfeeding (or recently weaned!!) regular cycles and baby dust this way!
Cineraria · 29/07/2016 18:23

Funny how they are all so different, lullaby! I'd have a hysterically angry baby on my hands if I put DS in his highchair without providing a full meal. I don't think he has realised that he can get off his potty without help yet. Either that or he really likes sitting there.

I do hope your DH will be back in time for this to be your lucky month.

I don't know that brand of tests, bimbum but am I supposed to be looking for a vertical like across the horizontal one? I can definitely see something of that kind.
