Ovulation test

I have been using ovulation testing strips. To begin with I got 1 line only (control line), then it became 2 lines (test line very faint so I thought it meant negative) then later the same day, the second line's disappeared. What does it mean - have I missed it that quickly?

Hi, I think it fades as it dries. I had a really strong positive line a few weeks ago and as it dried, the line became more faint. I'd guess it was a negative result and has just faded as its dried. When you get a positive, the line will be as dark or darker than the control line when wet. You usually have a clear result within ten minutes. Hope this helps

Thank you... the weird thing though is I started with only 1 line (the control) and no test line. Then a day or two later was getting 2 lines but the test line was quite faint. Then today, two lines but even fainter. Via says I am due to enter fertile window tomorrow though so shouldn't the lines be getting darker rather than paler? Am testing at roughly the same time each day.

With mine, I just suddenly got a positive one day in my fertile window (think it was nearer the end of the one predicted by ovia) that lasted for two days. It can happen really fast. Hopefully, you'll get one soon
