Trouble trying to conceive

Hi all,
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
My boyfriend and I both want children and have been trying to conceive for a while now and haven't been able to get anywhere.
Can anyone give any advice or tips at all?

Do you have regular cycles? If not - go to your dr ASAP. The guidelines were not to investigate till a year of no success but if any obvious problems like irregular cycles then it can be done earlier.

Do you know when you ovulate?

I'm usually pretty regular, give or tale a day or two each time. I have no idea when I ovulate or how to work it out

It's usually 14 days before your period starts and you have 3-5 fertile days with ovulation in the middle of that. Sorry if you already know this - if you don't, that may be why as sex outside of that window is unlikely to result in a conception.

Also avoid any lubes that could have spermicide in, there are sperm friendly ones like preseed available

Take your temperature every morning to work out when you ovulate. Abstain for a couple of days before.
Worked a treat for us 3 times.

I wasn't 100% sure of the days it was so that really helpful, thanks. We never use lubes anyway. Knowing us it'll be the timing

Should be. You can also tell by the days you get egg white discharge. If you notice this mid cycle - do the deed!
