Self Insemination

Anyone try this? Positive stories welcome.

We're cycle 6 Ttc #2.

I'm 33, DH is 39.

I think we could be making a better effort but this cycle, we have been dtd regularly but DH hasn't ejaculated 2 out of 3 times.
I'm considering asking him to ejaculate into a sample bottle & self inseminating.
I think it would remove alot of the pressure & it seems to have a high success rate.

I think everything is OK, but he is developing a mental block when I'm fertile. Secretly I feel resentful & crushed but don't let on. I hate this! I want sex to be about intimacy like it should be. Really upset at the thought of failing for another month. So far I've resisted opks but suppose I should get some..

how about not telling him when your fertile? to reduce the pressure. obviously i'm not sure what your personal circumstance but some men won't react very well to your suggestion in a similar way to how some men are put off by the IVF process. the TTC journey can be frustrating, hang in there.

I think you need to be very sensitive in how you approach this, he may be feeling even worse than you about it. Its a very sensitive topic for men. Would it be taking the presdure off or would he see it as a critisism of his performance, and a big ego hit. If its just since ttc then how about taking the pressure off and rather that concentrated ttc just dtd regularly and dont prevent and see what happens.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, obviously don't want to upset him or offend him by suggesting anything. I 'jokingly' brought it up this evening, look on his face said it all.
