I've never done them before - is this positive or not?

If not, are there any ideas if it is pre ovulation or post?

Many thanks

I find OPKs to be very frustrating! To be positive is it supposed to be darker or at least same colour as control line. I can see pretty clearly a line on yours, in real life was it as dark as control line?
Some People say that there's get gradually darker in the lead up to ovulation.
You could try another in a few hours.
Prob best to dtd anyway!

In real life it is probably not quite as dark, but mainly not as thick if that makes sense!

If only it was about DTD - I've been told to call into the fertility clinic to arrange an appointment 4-5 days after a surge.

Argh. Wish I'd spent the 20£ and bought the digital ones....

In my experience, some women (including me) never get fully dark OPKs. I was doing them 3 times a day and it got almost as dark then started fading again. I know I ovulated though as I'm currently pregnant. I found temping helped as it confirmed ovulation when I suspected it from the OPKs. I got the temp spike about 48 hours after the nearly positive OPK.
