Hi all,

Just wondering, do you get a sudden opk +ve or do you get a faint line that gradually gets darker and then fainter again?

TIA

I always have a faint line but have never had a strong positive on OPKs.
The faint lines aren't positive as aparently everyone has LH just some people slightly more than others and that's why they always get a faint line.
I've read from some of the threads on here that some people get a dark line but not quite as dark as control and then they monitor until is darker next time.
I suppose it depends on what your normal results are, if you don't normally get any line and are using the same type of OPK then any line darker than you normally get would be the test detecting more LH surge so that could be in the build up or lead to ovulation.

Depends how often you test. I usually get faint, strong, then faint again. But sometimes I've just had faint and then I've missed the window in the middle to get the strong result. You could test more often in a day and see if then you get a strong line.
