A HORRIBLE QUESTION ABOUT SPERM

OK ladies, I know this seems a horrible thing to do, but desperate measures etc, ttc #2, what would happen to the sperm if you inserted a tampon to try and keep it in. Would anything happen to it???

I would guess the tampon would absorb what ever was trying to escape.

Not entirely sure though.

Doesnot sound to healthy could lead to Toxic something or other also would interfere with v secretions. Could you but cushion under bum and legs - put knickers on straight after

Surely the tampon would just absorb the semen. I doubt very much that it would help in any way shape or form ! If anything, I think a tampon would be WORSE for ttc as it's absorbency powers would make the semen disappear (IYSWIM) much quicker than if it was just left to trickle out naturally ! I could be very wrong, but it seems to make sense to me.

The tampon would efectively 'pull' the semen away from it's destination, whereas just leaving things 'natural' would just leave gravity as your enemy !

I agree with the ladies about the tampon absorbing some of the precious seminal fluid. I'm ttc as well and have found that putting legs up against a wall with pillow tucked under to elevate the bum generally works. I keep my legs well up for half an hour and it seems enough time for most of the sperm to swim upwards! A tiny bit does leak out afterwards but it seems the most useful trick in the book so far.

I would have thought that it would have absorbed and 'spare' semen. Bum on a pillow would seem to be the best bet, plus try to orgasm after he has, as the contractions of your orgasm dip the cervix into and out of the semen, aiding the transfer of the sperm to where you want them.

Try using a diaphragm without spermicide after, and that will keep things in place!

Try the things that I keep going on about!

1/ Books state that a good position is lady on her tummy, partner laying on top. Lady keeps her legs together as much as poss, partners legs on the outside.
2/ Partner to ejaculate first, lady to orgasm after. Otherwise the secretions at orgasm can block the semens route.
3/ Once your partner has ejaculated, let him stay inside you until he is flacid again. Then he can move off and you stay where you are for as long as you can bear!

It worked for me to get my man to ejaculate outside, scoop it up in my moon cup and then insert the mooncup and assume the legs up the wall position.

admit it is strange to revive an old thread and she is from the same area but..... (i think we need to tread carefully i know its all a bit of fun but incorrectly accussing someone - especially if they are posting on sensitive issues (ttc etc) will be really hurtful

my mum read that after sex rest with your legs up and insert a tampon. it worked for me, his now 5 weeks old.
