Fighting the urge to POAS

LauraK1987 · 01/06/2016 17:47

I'm 2 days late for AF and massively trying to resist the urge to test!!!! This is second cycle ttc #2 and first cycle since suspected CP!!! I came off the pill in Feb and didn't have a period till 2nd may....should have been due Monday 30th but nothing! No symptoms of AF and no symptoms of pregnancy either except I Have very sore boobs but that could be down to both AF or pregnancy to be honest. So desperate to test but can't face the disappointment if it's a bfn!!!

Do it and post a pick! Love a good POAS thread!

Whatsername17 · 01/06/2016 20:02

2 days post af being due is a sensible time to test. Poas!

LauraK1987 · 01/06/2016 20:03

Haha!! Well I haven't actually got any so will have to wait till the morning! I shall hold my fmu in for as long as possible!!

Which tests would you recommend?

I used FRERs with DS and intend to again this time! Hope it's your month Smile

LauraK1987 · 01/06/2016 22:46

I used Frer last month and SuperDrug early response too....I had positives with 3 of these but negative digital.

Yeah digitals aren't as sensitive. When are you testing?!

LauraK1987 · 02/06/2016 11:10

I'm too scared to test to be honest. I had a chemical pg last month and this month even though I'm now 3days late I genuinely feel that's all it is...just my AF being a bit late, I've been having a dull ache in my tummy since last night so pretty sure she is on her way. I just don't think I could face the disappointment of a negative test. I'd rather AF arrived instead.

Yeah, it wouldn't be uncommon to have a longer cycle after a chemical. I had very messed up cycles after coming off the pill too. I really hope it is your BFP though. Were you tracking OV?

LauraK1987 · 02/06/2016 12:16

Yeh I have been using the Ovia app to track everything and to help me get to know my cycles better etc.

AF is here! I had a gut feeling this month wasn't my month!

OP posts:
MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 12:40

Ah sorry to hear that, good luck for next month!

LauraK1987 · 02/06/2016 12:55

Yep we will just keep going!!!! My partner is quite please as he is desperate for a summer baby and if we had conceived this month baby would have been due a week before our sons birthday which would have been stressful! I'm quite relaxed about it to a certain degree, but want it to happen sooner rather than later!

MmmMalbec · 02/06/2016 12:57

Ah that's ok then. How old is your son? Yeah I know what you mean. We have just started TTC2 and whilst it doesn't matter if it takes a couple of months due date wise, I just really don't want to be TTC for ages. I find it too stressful all the waiting!

LauraK1987 · 02/06/2016 15:20

Our son is 4, I didn't want a huge age gap (will be 5 years) but for one thing and another that's just how it's worked out. My son was a surprise so I'm just getting to grips with tracking cycles etc but don't want to get too obsessed with it. We have a holiday booked for August as well and whereas I wouldn't mind if I was pregnant when we went I also wouldn't mind not being if that makes sense! I'm fine in the run up to my period but hate the waiting game to see if it comes or not!

Yeah not knowing is a killer isn't it. Hope you get your BFP soon!

LauraK1987 · 02/06/2016 20:28

Thank you, you too!
