Today I have had Horrible ovulation pains. They really hurt. Mainly in my left but also in my right .. Is it possible to release an egg from each side??

So I will be ovulating imminently but discussing with OH whether to dtd tonight or tomorrow morning. I've taken my temp now as it would be high being end of day and it's mid 35's so I don't think I've ovulated yet. So thinking doing it Morning will be more beneficial!

That's a good opk tee, keep up the hard work! I'm going to poas tomorrow it's been ages! Withdrawals and everything. I'm getting opk envy. Just increased cm here so might b weekend for me.

Physics- could also be change of hormones at that precise time causing it.

Don't think my DH would like me saying dtd! As it is I have to make him think he's initiating it. Hard work I tell you! Have to seduce him without him thinking I'm trying extra hard.

Radders- if you already dtd last night I'd maybe wait and do tomorrow morning maybe?

Think only one ovary will release egg but sometimes pain is felt in the middle which is probably what u are feeling.

Radders- did your temp drop this morning? If so might be on way up for ovulation? Or if u didn't get a dip it might come tomorrow therefore ovulate on Friday/sat?

Did u do opk radders? Or was it you said you're not using opk this month? Sorry can't remember.

No opk this month. I've not got any left and didn't buy any more.

My temp was higher this morning -36.06 ... This is below cover line for me. Maybe it's my drop tonight. Will see what it is in the morning.

It definitely was either side not the middle - it's right in my appendix area as I call it. It's painful. The right was more twinges where as left hurt. It hurts when I wee and if I move basically. It's pretty much gone now though thankfully!

It would make sense for me to ovulate over Night ... Same as last month.

I'm going to wait until morning .... I haven't had sex in the morning for ages. I hate it!

I always get pains but thought it was because I was struggling to ovulate, but now I see from others it's common. Glad it's gone radders, sounds painful.

I don't like dtd in the morning either really but my DH seems to prefer it as he's too tired in the evening. It's annoying. I can't be too fussy right now got to take it when I can!

Oh why oh why can't this be a simple process?! Feels like my mind is in overdrive of dates tablets etc etc.. Hmmpfff

Very frustrated - been up for an hour with the pain! Even with two days of the antibiotics!! Ugh gonna have to go back and see gp!! Can't think about much else!

Don't dtd anymore as it might make it worse.... Have to think about your health too.

Ok so temp is 35.97 this morning so no spike. However I've read my chart again and my spike wasn't until CD15 before ... I don't know why I have put CD14 as ovulation day. Funny when you reevaluate your charts!

Anyway, alarm went on to DTD - enough time to give me my 15 mins lying down allowance!
Morning sex isn't that bad actually.

Summer don't wish it upon you. It feels like the appendix is going to explode! It doesn't really give me a clue either because how bad they were yesterday you'd think the egg was being released but it obviously hasn't been.

I'm trying not to do it too much this cycle as we dtd loads last cycle and got no where so wondering if sperm wasn't as good. So didn't do it yesterday. So now I'm on
CD 6,8,11,12 and 14. Will probably have to do it tomorrow too just to make sure! So still a fair bit I suppose.

I've just read again and temp rise doesn't necessarily happen day after ovulation does it ... So maybe I did ovulate yesterday because of the pain but it might not rise until tomorrow.

So sounds like you'll probably ovulate today Radders? I would expect a temp rise immediately after ovulation. Sounds like you ovulated CD14 last month too if your spike was CD15? I think you can get pains before the egg is released. Having said all this, I'm getting very confused with all the timescales. I've always thought a positive opk indicates you are 12-48 hours away from ovulation. Ovia seems to think a positive opk/LH surge shows the egg has already been released? I'm sure that's not right?

As suspected, peak opk this morning. Test line appeared immediately, and stronger than control line after about 10 seconds! Ovulation today and temp rise tomorrow I'm hoping!! DH out tonight, but not going mad with DTD either, yesterday's swimmers will still be hanging around...

Feeling really low today. Can't really believe it's the 6th month we've been trying, I never thought it would take this long. Starting to feel like it will never happen I'm so tired of the cycle of hope and disappointment.

Radders I am opking - there's a faint line last 2 days. We are DTD daily this week.

Physics sorry you're in so much pain! That sounds awful. Plenty of painkillers and water, take care and feel better very soon.

Looking good tee. It's better to have sperm there ready and waiting, as it takes time for them to travel up the Fallopian tubes. Sounds like you've timed things well.

Wish it was more obvious to know when the egg has been released. And wish it was clearer on the DTD every day or every other day debate too.

Ugh I feel so rubbish today, need to snap out of this

CD20 for me, 4/5 foo. Nothing really to report. Not feeling cramps or anything. I do have a spot on my neck (which I never get!) have had it since 2dpo. Probably not related though...

So was up from abut 3:30 - 6:45 with the pain. Then DH got up to go to work and I went back to bed. Just woke up and feel fine! Ok, a tiny bit sore, but no more crotch fire. ??? Yippee!! Maybe that's the end of the worst of it??

FF says I am 3 dpo, but don't think I am as I had an equally positive opk on what would be 2 dpo and obvs this morning's reading (adjusted) cannot really be trusted as it is 3 hours before normal taking time.

Jem I've been pretty down too - is each time I ov going to result in cystitis? But actually, the past has let us know that things will get better. Each cycle we have an equal chance of getting preggers - it's not a diminishing returns thing. Also each additional month is more savings - didn't you say you were trying to buy a house?? Maternity leave is pretty dear, so every penny counts! Cheer up kiddo - we feel your pain.

Pretty sure we should see a rise the morning after ov...

ps - I've discovered I get spotty (a spot or two) just before and after ov! I'd never noticed before ttc.

Ah Jem totally hear ya! It's pretty draining being on this roller coaster every month, and as you say, repeating cycle of hope and disappointment. It'll all seem like such an insignificant amount of time when we fall (in the grand scheme of things), but feels like forever now. It will happen and think how happy we will be when it finally does. Looking good on the opk!! Think we are going for a synchronised ovulation!! We're gonna catch it this month, I can feel it!!
Kate so glad you're feeling better. Sounds horrendous being up in the early hours with pain like that. Can stress induce cystitis?? Let's hope you've seen the back of it this time. Any preventative measures you can put in place for next month?

Tee you're right ... My spike was cd15 last month so would make sense ovulated 14 ...don't know what I was looking at!
Hopefully I will ovulate today so the swimmers from this morning are there !

Jem sorry to hear you're feeling down. It is a tough slog every month but don't lose hope and we are all in it together. It's a roller coaster!
I'm starting to feel anxious now because I know it's all done pretty much and just got to wait but need to try and stay calm.

Ok so I have just wiped after having a wee and I have blood on the tissue. I am 6/7 days po. As this is my first month of 'accidentally' trying I am having a major freak out. Is this text book implantation? I never ever have blood other than my period. Or could it be something else. Trying to calm myself down! My period is due on the 11th...

Obviously my husband and I would be thrilled! It is just so so new!

Sounds promising for implantation PS! Any other symptoms??
