Advice for a 45 yr old TTC?

My husband & I have been trying for a few years with increasing intensity. I've been having unusually heavy & painful periods for the past couple of years, but all our tests produce 'normal' results (inc. laparoscopy and hysteroscopy). I'm with a consultant gynaecologist and have been taking Clomid for the past five months, but still nothing. Anyone have any last-ditch advice for a 45-year-old wannabe mum? Not too many acronyms/abbreviations please - I'm new to all this!
