pregnancy test - no lines at all!

Have just done a pregnancy test and nothing showed at all which apparently means invalid. DH wants me to take it back to the chemist but I am reluctant!
Held it horizontally and I think I did everything right so I don't understand why it would be invalid. Any ideas?
Could it have been too wet?!! (was bursting to go

i'd call the manufacturer's helpline rather than go to the chemist

fwiw, i always found it easier to wee into a glass/cup, then dip the test stick - so much easier

good luck! (go and buy another test, quick!)

Too wet/too dry... just faulty? Best is to get a sample pot and dip and count if you make it too wet/dry xXx

Congratulations!

BTW, did you have to pay for the second test?

Tutter · 16/01/2007 13:40

congratulations!!!!! pleased for you - that's great news. your first?

chicca · 16/01/2007 14:19

No didn't have to pay for the test as I mentioned that I had called the manufacturer who told me to take it back. BTW it was ?11,90 here. How much are they in the UK?
No, it's my second. I am presuming it will be a very different experience this time round!

OP posts:
Tutter · 16/01/2007 14:25

they're about £8 each i think

i'm 13wks into my second too - how old's your first?

chicca · 16/01/2007 14:28

Well congratulations yourself!
DS is 2.5. I'm looking at him feeling very sorry for the poor spoilt boy. He'll never speak to me again! SO you're just through the danger zone. I feel alot nervous about the first three months this time - mostly because of unavoidable lifting etc..
How about you....

OP posts:
chicca · 16/01/2007 14:29

alot MORE nervous I meant to say.

kittylette · 16/01/2007 15:37

aww congratulations

Quootiepie · 16/01/2007 15:39

ooooooo, congratulations!

Tutter · 16/01/2007 15:55

i get an early scan at 6 weeks because of a previous ectopic, so i get reassurance at that stage, and tbh feel pretty confident once i see a h/b

i also have a ds - he'll be 2.2 when this one arrives
