Hi all, have just started using opk sticks this month, had 2 lines (positive) on sunday cd 16, bd'd on cd 10, 12 and 16 but not on day 17 as dh had to go away The instructions on the opk test says that it's best to bd on the first day you get the positive lines (which we did) and on the following day(which we didn't) what do you think the chances are of success this month? sorry i have only just entered the 2ww and am already obsessing like an idiot!! Would appreciate lots of "oh dont worry i got pregnant after bding once 5 days before positive lines" kind of thing!!!

thanks lottie, that was very helpful, fingers crossed !!! What day are you expecting/not expecting af?! i am pretty regular so should be around the 29th. How long have you been ttc and using opk's for? we have been trying for 4 months but this is the first month of using opks

if you have a healthy sex life then having sex a couple of times a week will be sufficient - no need to time sex as it were as even if you get an lh surge there's no knowing exactly when you will ovulate as you can actually have more than one lh surge in a cycle and lh surge doesn't necessarily mean you will ovulate.

These boards are full of posts from users saying "we bd at the right times so am sure it will have worked" only for af to arrive right on time, and yet the months they fall pg so many of them say "we only had sex once this month" so if you are regularly having sex you will fall pregnant if neither of you have fertility issues.

timing sex makes it far to autimated and chore-like
