I have 2 children and would love another one. Started treatment abroad, had 2 possible chances but didn't work out as husband was away for one month and consultant away for another. Don't know how long it would take to start process again. Any advice?

I've been through it, but afraid I don't understand what you're asking.

Can you elaborate more on your situation, and what it is exactly that you want to know?

I suppose I am unsure how long it was take to receive treatment in the UK. Because I have children already will I go to the bottom of the list? Iam going to see my GP and explain what I have been through up to now. Basically I was on fertility drugs for 2 months but could not have the insemination as my husband was away when I peaked. Shall I get my old consultant to write a referral letter? I am 38 yrs old.

Hmmm. From your post, you're talking NHS? I had IUI at a private clinic, so my experience might not be relevant to you.

Could you have some of your dh's sperm frozen so that it is available whenever you're ready, regardless of where he is?

Fwiw, my experience was that the proceedure itself wasn't wildly expensive. The exorbitantly expensive part was the fertility drugs.
