karryk that sounds very familiar- I think it is natural to question everything and try to find solutions- it ends up to be more confusing usually - it did for me. Hope the day at work goes well and is a good distraction, but take care too, don't be too hard on yourself and take a leisurely lunch break and tea breaks if you can!

tumtimes how are you feeling?

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/08/2016 14:20

karryk I'm so sorry. It's just so unfair. I used to google until my head hurt, I would have so many ideas swirling in my head. I hope you're feeling ok physically.

rosa so good to hear from you, can't believe how time has flown. Edie is twelve weeks on Monday and I'm already thinking what we would do if we decided to try for another. If I was already on intralipids would I need to be tested again?

Hello to all the new faces, glad you've found the thread but sorry that so many couples are going through this pain

karryk · 06/08/2016 15:35

Just popping in...

Physically doing well - didn't need to take any painkillers after the hospital and bleeding is now down to a dribble (ish)

Emotionally still a bit all over the shop - everything from calm to angry and back again!

I should be prednisolone-free towards the end of next week. Rather looking forward to that.

I haven't made a follow up appointment with Mr S yet, don't really want to think about it at the moment.

Much love and a sunny weekend to all xx

Drttc · 08/08/2016 12:12

billy15 · 12/08/2016 17:00

Hi ladies I hope everyone's doing well?
Apologies if I've asked this before but just wondering if anyone has experience of taking DHEA? The 'Egg' book seems to rate it highly but I've heard negative reviews. Trying to decide if I should give it a go.

Seekingmiracles · 12/08/2016 19:57

I did! After our chromosome loss last year I wanted to everything at creating good eggs.So I took DHEA and CoQ10. Didn't notice any negative side effects.
It's used loads in America, I've clinics actually recommend it.
But it's a personal choice, for me, I felt he benefits out weighed the risks.
I will probably use it again if we ever decide to try for number 2. X

Thanks seeking can you remember what dose you took and for how long? We're you trying naturally and not ivf? Sounds like they recommend it for Ivf ladies but not sure for natural cycles. Am worried about it messing with ovulation which seems to happen to quite a lot of ladies

Seekingmiracles · 12/08/2016 21:38

I took 75mg I think. What ever the book says for recurrent miscarriage. Took it from July to bfp in Feb. We were trying naturally, not ivf. But the reason was the same - improve egg quality. Had no issues with ovulation etc.

Hello, can I join the thread please? About to start prog, pred and intralipids on advice of Dr S after 5 mcs. A bit unsure, a bit cynical about the cost and whether it will help, and a bit nervous about side effects. I took prog last time, it made me feel sick even when I wasn't pregnant, and I still mcd at 8 weeks. The other treatments are new to me.

Thank you for having me.

Marmiteontoast76 · 15/08/2016 12:53

Hi Yomping! Glad you've found the thread and hope it helps with your decision.
I'm sitting her wondering whether to head up to the chemist to buy the prescription of hydrochloriquine which will cost around £80. Something is holding me back, prob the worry of side effects when I'm about to go on hols. It's been 7 weeks since we got our results from Dr S and still not started the plan due to same worries as you.

CarryOn2016 · 15/08/2016 16:53

Hello Yomping
Welcome
I just had my 1st month of TTC since beg of April so had 10 days of steroids. I felt bloated and v tired and a bit 'weird' got a BFN so stopped now. Will try again and see.
I also don't know if any of this will help but I thought I'd give it a go!
What I don't know if how many months I want to be using the prednisone
What is other people experience and how many months did u end up taking pred for whilst TTC?
Good luck

YompingJo · 15/08/2016 17:03

Thank you both. I have read horrible things about lose term pred use. "Moon face" was the term used. I'm on a really healthy streak at the moment and I don't want to put on extra weight.

YompingJo · 15/08/2016 17:04

*long term
