Hello Ladies.
I'm 3 days late today. Went to poundland and bought what I thought were hpt strips, got home and realised they're actually opk strips....duh! Took one anyway as I've heard that you can get a positive pregnancy result from them...and I tested positive. Hmm I ovulated on/around 25th May.

Have any of you ladies experienced the same?
TIA. Jo x

Yep, got a very dark line in an opk after dtd before my periods came back (breastfeeding). It was so dark it made me wonder, so did a hpt later and that confirmed it

Yes, if you know you have already ovulated and you don't have anything like PCOS that can affect the accuracy of OPKs, they are often used as substitute pregnancy tests by friends of mine. I have used them and always found them to be accurate - often easier to tell as well if you use ICs because the line is so dark whilst a hpt is still a squinter.

Oh wow. Will have to buy a test tomorrow. Thank you ladies. Smile

Looks like opks do actually detect pregnancy then. Grin
Very shocked but happy.
