Coggy's Catch Up........

It seems FOREVER ago that I was properly on MN and obssessively ttc!
Only 2 1/2 months ago but alot has happened in that time I expect (no.....sadly no bfp from me yet!!!)
I guess that Debbsy has had her Bibsy and maybe Peachy too......BooBoo next month.....lots of other BFPs??????
Natty, MrsMc and Trace have kept me with some of the news on here.

Here's a quick catch-up with me and what is happening.....
I am CD25 of a usual 26/27 day cycle with all the classic AF signs.....cramps, tiredness, wind etc. etc. (It's nice to be back!! )
I am starting IUI this next cycle so I am only a couple of days away from that and VERY excited and VERY nervous about jabbing myself too!
I figured as well as catching up with my old ttc buddies I could also moan and groan merrily away about it all on this thread and (hopefully) get a little bit of (much needed) sympathy at the same time!!!

I am SUCH a wimp really!!!!
Roll on CD1......

I think any uterus would object coggy! So when you're having major things like IUI do nurses and docs still say things like 'you may feel a little uncomfortable', 'you may experience some mild discomfort', 'just a scratch' etc. So you're lying there while they crank open your nethers wondering how to inflict equal amounts of pain back upon them?

Glad all went well yesterday and the ov pains have to be a good sign. Do I need to come up with anymore terrible jokes? I know lots.

DH just leaned over my shoulder and informed me that 'he's aware of the importance of discussing coggy's uterus but can I get dressed now please?' First day of mat leave and have been decidedly lazy. We're off out to an unknown location. Probably to wander round a garden centre and hope I have no more contractions.

Must go, happy weekend to all of you. Will email you tonight cogs and ask you random questions about the police.

xxx

coggy · 21/04/2007 12:10

PMSL at your Dh's comments.....how scary thinking that my bits and pieces are being talked about all over the country!!!!!

Actually my (very) nice nurse actually said something like.....this is going to be really uncomfortable and may hurt a lot.
If it is totally unbearable please tell me and we'll rest for a while!
No nice little sweetener there then!!!!!

I was pleased that she told me that as when it happened it was not as bad as I had imagined it in my mind!!!
Rather uncomfortable, a little painful and TOTALLY undiginified....but okay.
A means to an end.....and only 5 minutes or so.....I figured that I could bear almost anything for only 5 minutes.

Hope the garden centre is fun and that your mild indigestion doesn't bother you again today!!

PS...I am not going to bother spell checking this...so I will make NO apologies for any typos...too hot....can't be naffed!

just wanted to say Well done Coggy, thinking of you and am keeping everything crossed for you this time.
Did you say how many cycles you were allowed all together? I have been trying to find this info from my local nhs trust but dont seem to be able to come up with anything conclusive. Hope you dont mind me asking but are you self funding or is it nhs covered and paid for by the authority?
Well done sol too!!!!!! Big congrats to her, hubby and new babelet

LittleEgg · 21/04/2007 18:26

Hi Coggy. I am a lurker on your thread and am so pleased things went well yesterday. Will be keeping an eye out for good news and thinking of you every day.

coggy · 22/04/2007 11:41

Thanks Little Egg...lurkers are most welcome!!

Pusscat....I am allowed 4 cycles of IUI....I think all the areas are different but mine is NHS funded for those four....then (if necessary) I think I can have 2 IVF cycles also on the NHS...then I think that is pretty much the end of the road.

Pinky.....I am so pleased that you are having what you wanted...how exciting to know that you are having a boy.
Did you both want to know the sex?
All that fun now choosing names eh?

Always thinking of you Babymadxx

Juicylucytoo · 22/04/2007 19:42

Well done Coggy. Sounds like a bit of a mare going through all that.

Hope you have been treating yourself to lovely things all weekend since - you sooo deserve it

Gosh, 4 IUI's and 2 IVF's. That's great. Don't move NHS regions until it works! We only get 3 IUI's and 1 IVF in London.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that this will be THE ONE for you.

Had a bit of crampy back pain scare today and thought I'd been infected by SOH's "indegestion". Scared the crap out of me. But was all over soon and now a rest and cream tea got me totally back on track

MrsMcJnr · 23/04/2007 11:54

Well done Coggy it really is a labour of love Congratylations to SOL, lovely news!

coggy · 23/04/2007 18:46

LOL at your cream tea mediction....I like it!!

How are you doing MrsMc??

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 24/04/2007 10:14

How exciting Juicy! where has the time gone!

I'm ok thanks Coggy, been a bit run down and under the weather and have a cough so hope it won't interfere with OV which fingers crossed should happen any day now if things are back to normal. DH and I have been trying to repeat the performance that was a success last time, we'll see

Fingers crossed for us both!!

Juicylucytoo · 24/04/2007 11:19

Oh MrsMJ lots of lovely BD'ing for you then Hope cold lets up soon.
Have personally forgotten what the bed is for, other than sleeping (badly).

MrsMcJnr · 24/04/2007 16:50

thanks Juicy

coggy · 24/04/2007 18:27

Oh I hope you can manage your bfp again soon MrsMc......I know you had a marathon session the month you got it.
Hope you have both got the stamina this month (especially with you feeling grim...boo hoo.)

Lots of early nights in store I think.
What CD are you on?

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 25/04/2007 21:57

Thanks Coggy but DH is not playing the game no BD last night and doubt there will be any tonight, he's in a stinking mood and I got a +OPK today I'me CD16 today so think I'll OV tomorrow. How are you feeling?

coggy · 25/04/2007 23:06

Sorry that you are having to go through this horrid BD/no BD hassle again......depressing sometimes isn't it??

I have had bad AF cramps (4 and 5dpo ...have had them 4dpo before but thought it would be different with the IUI.
Do you think we can sometimes have AF-type cramps for none-AF reasons or am I just clutching at straws?
I'm still supposed to have 11 days before AF is due (according to IUI and drugs).

confused............

Morning lovelies.

Coggy, how are you doing? I can now keep everything crossed for you!!

How are Mrs McJ, Pusscat, Trace, Pinky, SOH?

Any movement SOH?!

Pinky, thanks for your message on the a/n thread.

All really good here I have to say. Katie is a really lovely little bundle. There are some pics on my profile.

I really hope you all get your turn v soon. You are always in my thoughts. xx

coggy · 26/04/2007 15:43

Whta beautiful pictures SOL.....two gorgeous girls you have there.

I am suprised, however, that you have time to cross your legs!!!

OP posts:
Ready · 26/04/2007 16:31

Coggy - I was wondering the very same thing... is it possible to have pre-menstrual cramps but they are not really pre-menstrual??? I got some 6 dpo this cycle - and I am miffed.

Fingers crossed for you chick!

MrsMcJnr · 26/04/2007 19:54

AF type cramps are ok Cogs & Ready, it?s the progesterone that causes them and you?ll get that too with success. I so hope this is it for you both.

Sexonknackeredbyextremelyproudlegs ? massive congratulations to you! Katie is a lovely name She is so cute, I love her little pouty lips! Gorgeous Big sis and Dad look so proud and how the hell do you manage to look as good as that after just giving birth?! I am not worthy!

OK here, got diagnosis of thrombophilia today of course, I don?t know that it was the reason for my MC but it puts me in fear of complications for the future. Being referred to a Specialist and not supposed to be TTC in the interim but if I do fall, they?ll just have to bump me up the list I suppose. Sounds so irresponsible, it?s just dire need for a baby.

coggy · 27/04/2007 17:48

Thanks you for your encouragement MrsMc!

What the bugger is thrombophilia?

OP posts:
wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 27/04/2007 17:57

OMG sol how did i miss this? huuuge congratulations - I can't believe how quickly the time went.

Coggy think cramps are very common - am keeping everything crossed for you - when are you due to test?

coggy · 27/04/2007 18:04

IUI was a week ago today...I have to wait 16 days for the hcg from the injection to be out of my system so......another 9 days to go.

If I am not pg then I won't get that far...(16dpo) so at least I don't have the 'can I or can't I test'......If I test too early it could well be a false positive.......if I go over 16 days I will be excited!!!!!

How are you doing?
Have you started back on the pill?

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 27/04/2007 18:07

Coggy I think you can safely say that your body will come up with all sorts of cramps, aches and pains at times you can't explain. Whether you are abstaining, ttc, going through IUI, pregnant, giving birth or post partum I don't think you get a minute's rest from the strange sensations. I know the month I conceived that I had the strangest pains- and I presumed I hadn't ovulated so didn't equate it with having conceived at first. Still keeping everything I have crossed for you- not easy when this pregnant!

SOL- how beautiful is your latest addition? DD1 looks so proud too. I'm ignoring you in the last picture looking calm, relaxed, neatly-coiffeured and serene. I don't look like that ever and you'd just had a baby. Warmest congratulations to you, I'm over the moon for you.

I'm still pregnant- keep having a couple of days where the contractions come back but then ease off. Mathilda is fully engaged still and causing immense amounts of pressure but still not coming out. Birth pool arrived on Wednesday so I'm all ready for my homebirth. Just waiting for SOH Jr to put in an appearance. I'm beginning to believe she's staying in there.

I'm going to google thrombophilia...

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 27/04/2007 18:08

well am keeping everything crossed that you go over the 16 days.

am doing good - taken the house off the market - it's just not meant to be at this point in time. the pill ... well ... er ... no. we went away for the weekend and af came and I'd forgotten to put the pills in so it'll be another month lol. Totally not thinking about it though - it's exactly 2 years on tuesday that I came off the pill and we started ttc.
