Coggy's Catch Up........

coggy · 12/01/2007 19:38

It seems FOREVER ago that I was properly on MN and obssessively ttc!
Only 2 1/2 months ago but alot has happened in that time I expect (no.....sadly no bfp from me yet!!!)
I guess that Debbsy has had her Bibsy and maybe Peachy too......BooBoo next month.....lots of other BFPs??????
Natty, MrsMc and Trace have kept me with some of the news on here.

Here's a quick catch-up with me and what is happening.....
I am CD25 of a usual 26/27 day cycle with all the classic AF signs.....cramps, tiredness, wind etc. etc. (It's nice to be back!! )
I am starting IUI this next cycle so I am only a couple of days away from that and VERY excited and VERY nervous about jabbing myself too!
I figured as well as catching up with my old ttc buddies I could also moan and groan merrily away about it all on this thread and (hopefully) get a little bit of (much needed) sympathy at the same time!!!

I am SUCH a wimp really!!!!
Roll on CD1......

Booboobedoo · 27/02/2007 10:57

How did it go cogs? Hope it wasn't too uncomfortable and your cells are busy dividing.

coggy · 27/02/2007 11:06

Well...that's it folks!

One more jab on Saturday (a bit of nookie today or tomorrow....just to be sure!) and then wait and see!!!!

It was all fine....a bit undignified but no worse than a smear test.....I HATE that thing being cranked open!!!!

Everything was exactly as it should be.
I could hardly walk yesterday for the OV pain!!
So I obviously had two very fat follicles bursting!
Now it's up to those sperm to do their job hey?!

Felt really sick yesterday and today cos I have had a hcg jab (early pg hormone) so I am suffering from sickness and sore boobs!!! Hopefully that'll wera off after a couple of days and then I'll get it for real in a few weeks!!!!
Wouldn't that be great?!

I am very realsitic and know that it may well not work first time but I am going to be super positive and hope for the best too.

Hurrah that that's done now......

coggy, am keeping everything crossed for you. have they given you a date you need to test?

coggy · 27/02/2007 11:09

Bubbly......dh felt weak throughout!

But surprisingly pepped-up after he had done his bit!!!

Men...................!!

OP posts:
coggy · 27/02/2007 11:11

Well I have to have this other hcg jab on Saturdau so I can't test too early or I'd get a false positive.
Tha nurse said 2 weeks plus 2 days so I may find that AF comes and there's no need to test....otherwise....I guess I shall test on Weds 15th.

That seems like ages away doesn't it?
Especially when my lp is normally only about 8 or 9 days!!
How will I survive 16 days!??!

ShowOfHands · 27/02/2007 18:37

No no no no no no no! I'm on holiday on the 15th. This really is very bad planning.

Coggy I do admire you- I can't type that and express the degree of sincerity it deserves and for somebody I've never met, your getting pregnant is very important to me. I can't tell you enough how much I am hoping for a positive outcome to all of this jabbing and prodding.

I blardy love you Coggy!

DISCLAIMER: I have flu, all posts may contain strange, delirious and hormonal ramblings. I am not at all responsible for this.

MrsMcJnr · 28/02/2007 10:48

SOH thank you for the chuckle!

Juicylucytoo · 28/02/2007 11:53

Coggy, roll on the 15th. Very excited for you.

Feel very positive that you will get what you want on the 15th.

You NEED to join us on antinatal

coggy · 28/02/2007 12:22

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you...the support from my friends here on MN is really lovely....if only it were possible through wishes and positive vibes eh??!

SOH......how is your flu today?
I am going to take no notice of your disclaimer as I liked what you said!!

I have suitably rested the past couple of days and now think that I ought to get a grip and stop being a cabbage!

I have baked fairy cakes this morning???
Getting ready for that motherly role see!!!
And now wasting a bit of time before getting ready to do some work this afternoon.

PCM.....the symptom spotting has started already as I have MS, tiredness and sore boobs from the flipping hcg jab!
Seems to be going off now though thankfully....but I have another one of those injections on Sat!!
Do you know that it is taken from the pee of pg women???
Have I told you that already???
I am injecting myself with pg women's pee.
I wonder if it's anybody's from on here????!!!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 28/02/2007 13:24

Ahh so that's why they take so many samples of pee happy to send you some extra if you like Cogs in exchange for a fairy cake - yum!

coggy · 28/02/2007 13:31

Urmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......actually MrsMc.....before I pass you one......

Do you need to use self raising flour for fairy cakes??

I appear to have made fairy biscuits!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 28/02/2007 13:36

NO! given up biscuits for Lent!! Think you need SR flour but I am no good at baking!

coggy · 28/02/2007 15:08

Clearly nor am I!!!!

OP posts:
Booboobedoo · 28/02/2007 15:22

PMSL at fairy biscuits cogs. I'm sure they'll be delicious anyway.

Symptom spotting is the devil's work, but who are we kidding? It's all a bit confusing with the HCG too, though, isn't it.

By the by, they now generally synthesize the stuff to make the HCG - it's lot cheaper than extracting it from urine apparently. (DH's consultant told us this). So you're not necessarily injecting someone's piss
