Ovulating after a miscarriage

Just found out that I've had a missed miscarriage, just an empty sac measuring 4 weeks when I should be 10. I've not actually miscarried yet, but wondering if any of you who are further down the line could fill me in on how soon after a miscarriage you ovulated? Thanks

Aw jingle I am so very very sorry for your loss. I had a mc at 8 weeks; also empty sac which had stopped growing at 5/6 weeks. I bled at 8 weeks for one full week like a heavy period with one point where I went to the loo and was in a bit of pain 'pushing' where I passed a clot. It took less than 10mins and was like being badly constipated. I then had a positive preg tests for a whole other month (decided I was pg again - I wasn't) then had my period (as I would have). Tests went negative and ovulated 14 days later.

I think it can happen a lot sooner and hope it does for you.

Thank you m33r, and I'm really sorry for your loss. So you were around 6 weeks from the end of miscarriage to ovulation? I know it will be different for each person but it helps to have something to focus on.

Hi I'm very sorry for your loss I also had a miscarriage in February I went for my 12wk scan to find an empty sac and no embryo. I choose medical management but ended up having a d&c aswell. bleed for about 5 weeks in total once I stopped bleeding my period started about 3 weeks later, I passed yet more pregnancy tissue and pregnancy tests were negative. Once I finish my period I ovulated on CD26 and just found out that I'm pregnant again ☺️ They recommend you wait for your first period to ttc as there could be pregnancy tissue left from the miscarriage. I'm sorry for all the losses

I had a miscarriage at the start of March (at 6 weeks pregnant) which lasted about four days and then I ovulated about 16 days afterwards.

Sorry for your loss. I ovulated 2 weeks afterwards but the period I had was worse than my mc in terms of loss of blood - truly horrendous and required buying a change of clothes at lunchtime! So I'd recommend waiting a cycle to clear things out a bit. I got pg the cycle afterwards and now have 2.5 yo DTs.
