Hello!
DH and I are thinking about TTC. I'm applying for a job and if i get it, brill, will go on hold til I settle in. If not we are going to go for it.
Question is, is there anything I need to be aware of over next few months? I've read about taking multi vit with folic acid and the obvious sleep/enjoy time together etc but health wise is there anything else?!

Nope, take the folic acid and have fun! Don't worry about anything at first and see how things go.

Oh really! I thought there would be more to it than that! I will, we are very relaxed about it and will just see how it goes. Thank you!

You can go to your GP and ask for some blood tests to check immunities and other vitamin levels but it's not necessary.

It's recommended to take folic acid for 90 days before conceiving so you can prepare by doing that.

Thanks for the replies!
I had a recent check up with GP and mentioned it and she was happy for us just to crack on.
Silly question: do you take folic acid only or a multi vit with it in? Ie. Is it recommended to take a certain dose?

There are conception and pregnancy vitamins at the pharmacy that have everything you need.

Regular vitamins can sometimes have too much Vitamin A, which is not good for pregnant women.
