Good morning everyone. CD 1 Star

But I'm feeling positive about it. I've got my holiday to France to look forward to, plenty of wine and stinky cheese and pate. Also my coil was removed after the beginning of the cycle so this cycle the lining off the uterus has a chance to get lonely and think to catch that eggy.

I also have it in my head that it will take three cycles for this one (it took one with number one and two with number two.)

Plus I am going to go to a festival with the kids this summer and will need to spend some money in the tickets so one more month saving.Smile

Thanks Mimi for thinking of me.

Jod I hope the witch doesn't get you but if it does we can be cycle twins.

SuchaJem · 01/05/2016 09:27

Sorry AF got you nim but I like your positive thinking. Onwards and upwards to the next cycle.

jod hope it's not her.

Day 10 here and we haven't yet managed to DTD. My grandma is really sick and we ended up driving there and back yesterday - about 5 hour round trip. So we're both exhausted. Will get started tonight though - he is ready for the DTD marathon ahead this week. Think I will start OPK today too. Ooh I love to POAS!

raddersmrs · 01/05/2016 09:52

CD9Star

Jem we've only managed to dtd once so far so I've said we need to do it again tonight to make sure done it before the FW so the swimmers are fresh

I had a dream last night that I POAS and i didn't believe it so I went to doctors and did a massive pee in a big freezer bag for them to test it Hmm

Nimisha sorry AF got you but sounds like you've got a great month ahead where you can eat all you want!

Jod let us know if it's spotting or not. 8dpo does seem early for AF. I'm hoping its implantation for you. Fingers crossed!

Racja have you done another opk?

Mimi I know I so feel for the long cyclers.

I've doubled my EPO intake this month and I think I can tell in my CM as there seems to be more of it this month. Unless the CHemical has made me produce more because it's kind of geared up

Summerblush1982 · 01/05/2016 09:58

Ah Nimisha, I agree with others about the positive thinking!! :-)

Summerblush1982 · 01/05/2016 10:00

Cd18 for me today! No early signs although Ovia tells me I can test in 8 days!! Should I be getting early signs at cd18? Anyone know?

physicskate · 01/05/2016 11:02

CD 21 2dpo
Antibiotics have massively helped, though didn't get much sleep last night.

Summer cd 18 is still pre-ov for me! So depends on your dpo. Also, there are people who never get symptoms in pregnancy. I think the first symptom for most people is a missed period, but hey what do I know! Most symptoms (if you do get them) won't start until at least implantation, which is 7-10 dpo generally...

Sorry that you have an ill grandma jem - more stress is not needed!!

Summerblush1982 · 01/05/2016 13:11

Thanks Physicskate. Smile I'm 5 days post ov so probably slightly premature of me to think of symptoms. I hate this wait!!! :-/

Jod1985 · 01/05/2016 13:18

Flow getting a bit heavier now ladies SadSadSad
Still not on the pad but more last time i wiped. I expect if it's AF it will have picked up pace by the morning. At least if it i have an idea of where I am.

SuchaJem · 01/05/2016 15:53

Haha at your dream radders Smile POAS on the brain!

Thanks physics glad to hear the antibiotics are doing the trick.

jod hope you get some clarity. Like you say, if it's her you know where you stand.

I am trying to feel more positively towards my monthly cycle. After all, getting my period on time every month means everything is working as it should really.

Tee4me · 01/05/2016 16:47

Radders that is so funny about your dream!!
Jod fresh cycle, fresh start, hopefully May will be your month!
Jem I totally agree about the positive thinking, I'm feeling that way too lately. I really hate to wish time away, especially as I have a little DS to enjoy. I saw a nice post of Facebook about enjoying 'now', and stop thinking if we just get 'the next thing' (new baby, marriage, new house, new job...) that our lives we finally be complete. I'm focusing on all the positives about my life as it is, to try and help distract from the hopes of baby #2 xx

For those first timers; found this on the net which may be useful to know:

The day after I ovulated, I would almost inevitably start feeling pregnancy symptoms. And they would DRIVE ME CRAZY. So in the interest of keeping a few of you sane - I compiled what happens the first 14 days past ovulation - and what you can expect if you are pregnant.

Day 1 - Ovulation: Your newly released egg will only survive 24 hours, but hopefully in that time, it will meet a sperm and be fertilized. Only about 300 sperm (out of millions) reach the right tube at about the right time, but only one is needed.

Day 2 – Your fertilized egg is busy dividing.

Day 3 – Vital cell divisions are now taking place as the fertilized egg is traveling towards implantation.

Day 4 – The embryo is now at the 16 cell stage.

Day 5 – Five days after fertilization, the embryo is now at the blastocyst stage. It has still not implanted.

Day 6 – The blastocyst is not preparing to implant into your uterus lining. This is crucial. If this does not happen correctly, the fertilized egg will simply be flushed out with your next period. It is thought that as much as 50% of pregnancies miscarry before implantation even occurs.

Day 7 – It happened! Your fertilized egg has implanted. Congratulations, you are officially pregnant. A placenta will now begin to develop. This is the earliest that you may experience a small amount of implantation bleeding.

Day 8 – Your fertilized egg will signal its existence to your pituitary gland and switch of your menstrual cycle. Click. Just like that – no periods for the next nine months.

Day 9 – Pregnancy hormones are now being produced. (Though they may be difficult to detect at this point.) Your embryo is less that .5mm long.

Day 10 – More growth. More hormones. Now your breasts may start to hurt. You could have cramps or bloating. Although it is still VERY early to be feeling pregnancy symptoms – but some women are just very in tune with their bodies.

Day 11 – Progesterone surge in your body is helping your lining thicken. It’s also playing all sorts of mind-tricks on you and driving you crazy as you analyze every twinge.

Day 12 – This is usually about the latest that you will experience any implantation bleeding. About 25 percent of women will experience some bleeding on early pregnancy.

Day 13 – The ball of cells is now firmly embedded in your uterus. Most pregnancy tests will pick up on the fact that you are pregnant by this point.

Day 14 – You might feel you have your usual PMS symptoms – but this time around they will be pregnancy symptoms in FULL force. Feel free to complain about them to your partner with full impunity. You’ve earned it!

Jod1985 · 01/05/2016 17:39

Very useful thanks summerblush. So I'm 7/8days PO.
The blood has stopped? It went a bit red and then stopped again?
I'm not experiencing usual AF cramps either. Just a waiting game I guess. Could be a very light AF?

Summerblush1982 · 01/05/2016 17:50

Could be a good sign Jod1. I'm 5 days PO. I don't feel anything yet! When are you testing?

Summerblush1982 · 01/05/2016 17:51

Jod1 have you ever had a light AF? Seems on par with the signs above regarding implantation.

Footprints1 · 01/05/2016 20:09

CD30 Or 16dpo Or 9dpo or 3dpo or not any dpo? Or.. A gin and tonic?? Would love one!!

Hello everyone, I'm missed you all today I've been out visiting a friend for lunch and my boys are staying with Grandma! Yay freedom :) hope you've all had a good day

So much to catch up on!

Jod, my pink cm completely stopped. Was only once I've seen it on tp. It was baby pink in colour. Still got lots of EWCM though.
Hope it's importation for u? I'm thinking mine was ovulation again? Or possibly implantation.
Have u got cramps too? My tummy feels tender.

Physic- glad u are feeling better

Nim- sorry that AF showed :( like your positive thinking. Well done Thanks

Radders- EPO is def good for cm! I've had tons of it this month and possibly 3 attempts of ovulation! Crazy Confused love the dream.. Grin

Footprints1 · 01/05/2016 20:10

*Implantation not importation! If only that simple! Lol

Racja14 · 01/05/2016 22:22

CD 22 Star

Did another OPK today and it was similar to yesterday, definite second line but not as dark as the test line but will test again next few days. DTD this morning but back at work tomorrow so will try not to work too hard and keep some energy for tomorrow night!

Positive vibes to everyone Flowers

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 09:05

Hi Racja, until you have one full cycle of opks it's hard to distinguish how dark your positives will be. To be safe I'd dtd as often as u can. Test today again after 12 noon if you have IC opk's as LH surge is low early morning. You might be gradually leading up to something. Is your CM wet yet? Tingly nipples?

joddy · 02/05/2016 10:40

CD2Star

Hi ladies, I name changed. It's Jod.
Ok so it's full blown AF. I'm not too disheartened as i am glad I know where i am but man it's heavy.

Now I have questions....I had a positive OPK and other signs of ovulation Friday week. So I would have been roughly 7days PO when AF arrived. That's very short isn't it? What way should I tackle this cycle. Any supplements I should include? Foods? Routine? I suppose this is my only my second cycle as this is my first period since Mirena was removed.
I guess all the symptoms I had were related to Mirena withdrawal! I do think I ovulated though it at least tried to ovulate twice in last 5 weeks.

raddersmrs · 02/05/2016 11:20

CD10Star

Jod I think your body is still probably getting back to normal so the short luteal phase of this cycle might not be what happens next time.
I've just found this link which has some suggestions what to eat etc

http://nicolejardim.com/lengthen-your-luteal-phase/

I would take this as a good sign because now it's like you know where you are in your cycle and you can start tracking a bit better.

Racja - how long are your cycles normally?? Maybe you have already ovulated?

I'm going to start Opks tomorrow to make sure don't miss ovulation although I will ovulate around Cd15 if same as last month.
Bbt was 36.25 this morning.

I'm definitely not linking vivid dreams to pregnancy symptoms going forward as I'm having them now! Another one last night.

Hope everyone's enjoying their long weekend. Off for a spot of shopping today and little walk around. Hope the rain stays away xxx

physicskate · 02/05/2016 11:20

CD22 3dpo

Jod it might just take a few cycles for things to settle - some people mention up to 6 months. I started taking B6 and B12 and my LPs are getting a couple days longer each time. Maybe B complex? It's meant to be good for TTC anyway. Just be aware that long term use of high doses of B6 can cause nerve damage. I take 50 mg daily (suggestions that several years of 100mg + can cause the damage). So I wouldn't double up on B6 + B complex (which has all the Bs in it).

Racja - it could also be that you caught the surge on the way up and the way down, never quite getting the positive...

Tww here! Not lots going on, but nips are weirdly sensitive still - I never get boob symptoms! Humph. Not enjoying it particularly (and it is clearly not a symptom of any sort). Cystitis has abated, and I know I should finish the course (don't want bugs building any sort of tolerance for this antibiotic) but DH worried me with what he read about it with TTC... Trying to be blissfully unawares! I do know that time will fly when I'm at work so hopefully I won't have time to notice every twinge... Plus it is cycle 1 so not super likely as we still don't really know what we're doing! Pineapples at the ready!

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 11:24

Thanks for sharing that summer I will definitely be referring back to that.

jod that sounds really promising for implantation, fx for you.

Did someone say gin and tonic? Smile thanks footprints she's improved a little but it's still early days.

Day 11Star and still no DTD Envy we have been so crazy busy and both exhausted. Will try and get on it today but I'm cross with DH. He's making so little effort to initiate and only really tries if I get cross and walk away. He's being negative about it again voicing his concerns about wanting to buy a place before ttc. We've been through this so many times and decided we wouldn't let that hold our lives back. It's mentally and emotionally exhausting to keep going through this with him. I've told him we are stopping until he's in the right mental place for it because I can't handle the emotional roller coaster of ttc whilst not feeling like he is on board.

Very SadEnvy about it all today.

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 11:40

Sucha- my DH said the same about trying. He got so stressed with it one night he said that's it we can't do this now. I was very sad and grumpy. The next night he wanted the deed.. Well I expected him to pull out and he carried on and has been ever since. It's just the planning that freaks him out. Weird to say it.. But I seriously think they prefer the unexpected and little accidents Hmm
I don't show him the sticks, or tell him fertile week (weeks in my case which makes it tricky)& just am going with it. It seems to be working so far.. He asked me only today..have u come on yet?? The less said the less they can stress. Hope he comes round X

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 11:41

Jod- yes that's what I went through last month and my body is still playing up. Sorry AF came for u X

Nimisha · 02/05/2016 12:03

Jem I hope DH was just having a cold feet moment and comes round to the idea again.

Jod I have tracked my cycles with the mirena coil in and two months I had a luteal phase (lp)of 6 days. I have done some reading and I have a theory. The coil stops ovulation in some but not all people, I think that if it doesn't stop ovulation, it's a weak ovulation so a short lp. I am taking vitamin b6 anyway and my lp this month was 11 days with two days of spotting before. I'm hoping this time I'll have a better chance now it's the first full cycle without the coil.
