I'm still waiting for AF. Feels like I have had cramps forever. Even dtd last night thinking it would start something off.

Radders- finger test ? Do u feel your cervix or just see what the cm is like?

I'm Going to do opk incase ovulation ?

raddersmrs · 20/05/2016 13:12

I look at the mucus that's come out ... Every time I go for a wee I check it out now so I can see how things change!
It's still creamy but like darker ... So like it's starting to mix with AF

Footprints1 · 20/05/2016 13:41

Radders - just checked mine, it is white and watery consistency.
Opk neg.

SuchaJem · 20/05/2016 14:19

I'm out. Pretty fed up xx

Jodders · 20/05/2016 15:50

Oh man! Sorry Jem. That sucks. Wine and chocolate required WineChocolateFlowers

Tee4me · 20/05/2016 16:35

Oh Jem I'm sorry Sad Massive hugs to you. Treat yourself to a big bar of something or a really naughty takeaway and have a good sob if you need to.
Let's think of all the positives of falling a month later...
A) due date would be end of Feb instead of end of Jan. Jan birthdays are depressing, I'm talking from experience! (my birthday is documented to be officially the most depressing day of the year)
B) getting up with a newborn during a cold dark winter can be tough, we are inching closer to Spring here!
C) FW will be kicked off with a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend!
D) another months salary going in the bank, every little helps when bubba arrives
E) any exciting events coming up? I've got a hen tomorrow and a wedding next week, so guilt free drinking and no awkward questions!

I know none of this really compensates for not getting a BFP, but I hope I've cheered you up even just a tiny bit by trying to look on the bright side? x

Ohh sorry jem for af. Hugs CakeChocolateWine or some vodka and lemonade with me. Best of luck hun in the next cycle. I know it sucks. Upwards and onwards Hmm

PurpleOwl86 · 20/05/2016 18:06

I'm sorry Jem Flowers

It's ok footprints, I know you didn't mean it that way. It's a positive thing, it'll help me keep up the diet and exercising.

Footprints1 · 20/05/2016 18:07

Oh no, So sorry Jem, you must be so disappointed. Was really thinking a BFP for you. Sending you hugs and a good night sleep.Flowers

physicskate · 20/05/2016 18:51

Sorry jem! If under 35 they say it is pretty normal for it to take up to a year! Can't remember exact stats, but something like 90% and then 95% by year two will have fallen.

Twinges have subsided - thinking it was the EPO maybe... Anyway more arrived this aft so will see how that goes.

Cd 7. Going to start opking cd10 , even though earliest ov has been cd 16 and this month has already been stressful. Maca arrived so gonna try a bit of that starting tomorrow.

Purple owl - I've been saying I want to lose a stone since, well, at least since I became a teacher 5 years ago. My BMI is something like 26, so just 'overweight'. But it is hard to find the motivation when I know my body will radically change if/ when pregnancy comes. We could all be healthier, but life is short, so we do the best we can! 20 mins a day?! Surely the weight will fall off in a few weeks with that effort. I once spent a summer running 25 mins a day and lost 11 pounds (nearly a stone) in 7 weeks. You'll be fine!

SuchaJem · 20/05/2016 18:53

Thank you so so so so much for your kind replies. Especially all your positive points tee, that made me cry.

I'll be okay. It's just so disappointing, when your hopes get up Sad

SuchaJem · 20/05/2016 18:54

Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for my testing buddies tee and radders hope we get to see some bfps this weekend xx

Jodders · 20/05/2016 19:11

I really was convinced you were BFP Jem. Sad

Ladies I'm going on hols in June. I just tried on some of my holiday clothes and I'm feeling ridiculously frumpy and overweight. I'm one of life's yo yo dieters. For the last two years we haven't been abroad and I was a size 10. This year I am going abroad and I am a 12 creeping into a 14 and very unhappy now that the realisation has dawned on me that this is the case. I don't want to wait until I see if i am PG before starting to diet as I won't have time to lose anything. What is the best thing to do? Usually when I put my mind to a diet I can lose 8lbs in one week and then 2lbs a week after that but it involves doing a cleanse (which I can't do if I'm pg). I know losing weight quickly isn't recommended during pregnancy but I'll be annoyed if I'm not PG and haven't started. Arghhhh what to do?! Thinking I might cut down now and cut out carbs and then test on 29th and if it's negative I can do the cleanse from 1st. I go on 16th June.

Summerblush1982 · 20/05/2016 19:39

Back from week away at work!! Down with a stinking cold!! So many messages on this thread i need to catch up on!! Approaching fertile week and I'm a woman down with a stinking cold!!! Hope everyone is well :-)

physicskate · 20/05/2016 19:49

I feel a tickle in my throat coming on too.

They've really been pushing us hard this week at work. It's exam season and I have 5 exam classes (past papers to mark) plus 4 sets of end of year tests to mark... god I hate this lifestyle... plus emails from angry parents about their precious darlings and how I have let them all down. Why oh why did I not become an engineer instead of doing straight Physics at Uni??? At least I only work until 6pm tomorrow!

I guess I am having a wobble. In fact, I was desperate to get pregnant just so I can go on maternity... that's bad isn't it??

Right - time to get my head down and back to marking!!!

raddersmrs · 20/05/2016 20:12

Physics funny you should say that..I'm a bit the same. I want a baby irrelevant of the job but I also have added pressure because I feel like it's the only way out of my job that I don't really like. I can't move because of trying for a baby so it's my only way out at minute. But obviously not just having a baby for the reason.

Jod just eat healthier. That can only help with pregnancy and you will naturally lose weight anyway. I don't think a crash diet will be good... Size 12-14 isn't exactly large anyway! As long as you're healthy.. I'm a size 12 in bottom and ten in top. I could do with losing a stone I think but also tone up. Just be healthy :)

Jem - well we are still trying buddies and now we are AF buddies too. Our cycles are bang on together. My AF is definitely here too so I'm out. But I'm thinking of the positives. Thanks tee for the list!

We will get there Jem, don't worry..

So this morning I read what supplements men could take and it says vitamin c and zinc. So told OH and he looked into it and he found this study that was done with men taking vitamin c. One group didn't take any (a placebo), Some took 200mg a day and the others 1000mg daily. All the ones that took vitamin c improved their sperm count. 200mg by something like 112% and 1000mg by 140%. All those who took vitamin c had inpregnated their OH within 60 days where as no pregnancies occurred in the group that didn't take any.
So OH is taking vitamin c now!! So if you're OH will take it might be worth giving him some.

physicskate · 20/05/2016 20:22

Oh yippee DH has been taking vit c and zinc for months now (he gets colds a lot).

Can you all tell I am procrastinating??

Nimisha · 20/05/2016 23:19

Hi girls, CD 20, 5dpo.

I've been mad busy preparing for my holiday. I've got two weeks off work Yey!! I had some pineapple today and a glass of wine.

Symptoms, I've got slightly sore boobs, creamy CD and spots! My temp is still high, 36.7.

Sorry to hear AF got you Jem.

I'm really looking forward to maternity leave too physics. I like my job but I would love some family time.

I'm off to bed, mega busy day tomorrow too.

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 07:37

CD28Star14dpo
Morning girls,
AF due date has arrived, although it wouldn't be unusual if it started tomorrow. Still fairly crampy and feeling like something's coming. If it doesn't hurry up I will have to use my CB test. Hen do later, so need to know if I'm driving or not!
Hope everyone else is OK? Radders/Jem CD2 already for you guys!! x

Good luck tee - looking forward to hearing the result xx

raddersmrs · 21/05/2016 08:43

Feeling bit down in the dumps today actually

Going to a wedding which is nice but then I think not only do I not have a baby but I also don't have a ring Angry

One of those days hehe

Tee when are you testing? I'm excited xx

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 09:04

Ah Radders sorry to hear you're feeling like that. If I remember rightly this is your first AF since mc? I felt the same as you the cycle after mine, as I was so convinced I'd be super fertile that month (which technically you are supposed to be after mc). I'd started aspirin which I thought would be like a magic wand to my womb and also had lots of convincing signs. I think the disappointment hit double as hard that month.
Remember though, your pregnancy was still very recent, my mum told me you really should be particularly fertile in the 3 months post mc. Also, some say to have a full period between a pregnancy and mc bleed is a good thing, to ensure you are fully flushed out (sorry that's a horrible phrase). I don't know what your experience will be, but I had lots of clots (tmi) and extra painful cramps that following cycle.
Sending you hugs.

I will wait until the last minute to test, give AF every opportunity to turn up (don't want to waste the test). I really do feel quite crampy. Probably about 3pm! x

OP posts:
raddersmrs · 21/05/2016 09:15

Tee it's funny you should say that because I was just thinking to myself that this AF is a lot more painful than last month. I had really bad pains yesterday before she showed which I don't normally get and today they're hurting.
I normally have pains for a day.

It's definitely heavier so I think you're right in being flushed out.

I think work is getting to me more than this. I really think the stress of it is preventing me from conceiving. When I conceived last month I wasn't at work - ha 2 weeks off. I'm going to see what happens this month being more laid back and if that doesn't work then I'm going to have to consider the job.

Hope nothing shows and you get your BFP. I will be checking back! Xx

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 09:41

Remind me what you do for a job Radders? Are you considering a career change after mat leave? I couldn't go back to my job managing a team because I didn't feel I could manage on a part time basis (although I'm sure in other companies it's perfectly possibly). I'm also not enjoying my new work, but I think that's mainly because I'm so focused on TTC that everything else feels like a stop gap and I'm not really applying myself properly.
Hope you enjoy the wedding today, fx it doesn't rain! x
