Ovulation/conception after nexplanon removal

Just wondering how long it took you to conceive after having the implant removed?

also, should I wait a few months before trying or is it ok to start straight away? had it out a few days ago. But just thinking because it makes your uterus lining thinner, does that go back to normal quickly or does it take a few cycles?

I was told it was okay to start straight away. Apparently your fertility can go back to normal right after removal. Some people get pregnant very soon but for others it can take longer.
It took me 16 months to get pregnant with DS but I had other issues as well.

I was told the same as Magpie - that you could try straight away and your fertility should return quickly. Bee didn't start TTC until after my first AF when I had mine removed in November. OH wanted to give my body a chance to regulate itself (and probably wanted that extra bit of time!) and I had it removed early anyway so we weren't ready for another month. Timing wise it came out 8 Dec, first AF was 16 Jan, cycles went back to their normal 26-28 days and I conceived end of Feb. Currently 10+1

Everyone is different though and I'm sure the last time I had it out (not TTC) AF had started within a couple of weeks. Good luck, I hope it all goes well!

I had my nexplanon implant out in Nov, had first AF 2 weeks later and then started ttc in Dec. My GP said it was best to wait for 1 AF before starting. Conceived end of Feb/bed of March, 10 weeks today :)

It took me a month to get AF. Around four months to get back into a regular cycle.

Still TTC 11 months later and fell very quickly with my first.
