TSH Levels - TTC

Am 38, been ttc for 8 months, 2 early chemical miscarriages.

My results for TSH thyroid is 3.64 mIL/L

The doctor said the results are a little high (so means a slightly under active thyroid), they like results to be under 3.5 if you are trying to conceive.

Going to do another blood test and they may give me levothyroxine to help lower this number.

Does anyone else have experience of this?

Did you take levothyroxine? How did it make you feel?

Any advice appreciated.

My docs like TSH to be below 2.2 for ttc. Mine is 2.4 so I am on thyroxine. No side effects at all , which is a shame as I had hoped for a little weight loss!

Hi - between 1.0 and 2.0 is the ideal when ttc. Mine was 1.0 when I conceived. No side affects with levothryoxine which it sounds like you definitely need not maybe. Good luck!
