Oh Geek how horrible for Mr G and you. How can the care be so bad?

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 05/07/2016 11:00

Sorry to hear that Geek. Hope things pick up for all concerned soon and hope you get to your scan ok, taxi sounds like an expensive option?

So I'm a tad worried here. Had a wee at 10.30pm and didn't have a middle of the night wee and the wee at 7am wasn't pale (but wasn't dark either, just sort of middle ish) so I used a frer and line the same as yesterday (was hoping for a bit darker as seen from looking on google that people end up getting test lines darker than the control line and mines nowhere near that!). So I used my clearblue digital and it said 1-2 weeks. But I'm 17dpo/ 4 weeks 3 days so was hoping it would have said 2-3 weeks to put my mind at rest that it's still progressing well. Now worried that it's only 1-2.

keepitgoing · 05/07/2016 13:44

geek that sounds dreadful, you could raise a formal comply with the CCG. They hardly want him to be admitted but that's what'll happen if they don't manage his care properly in the community. Hope he gets better quickly

loopy I think the digis are renowned for worrying people, and also normal levels vary so massively. So long as you're still getting a strong line.

Imps9 · 05/07/2016 14:53

Loops I got my 2-3 weeks when I was 5 weeks exactly, and I was an early implanted. Fret not in the slightest about it saying 1-2 weeks at 4+3.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/07/2016 07:50

geek hope mrgeek gets better soon. If it's any help I managed to go from 12w to 19w with no scan or mw appointment, and no doppler! Though it did make the 20w scan extra nerve-wracking. It's much easier now with definite movements.

keep Important jobs carry on, but there's always stuff in the newspapers about hospitals being understaffed. And remember my ivf used to just stop for a month. But most people I know who just have ordinary office type jobs will have 4 weeks off now.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/07/2016 07:52

loopy hope the lines look good today, I wasn't brave enough to try a cb digital until I was 5 weeks!

keepitgoing · 06/07/2016 08:49

I never did a cbd! Brooking for good lines today loops

It all sounds very civilised beedle. Maybe they hope everyone goes abroad to the EU ( :( ) so would get their hospital treatment there!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/07/2016 15:02

Today's tests. Another one bites the dust. That's the 11th one that's failed now. Really thought with the strong start it had a chance. 4+5 today and another one that didn't get anywhere close to a 6 week scan. Just don't know what is stopping them from sticking 😞

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.

Oh Loopy I'm so sorry. God I wish they could find the answer for you. You have your Tommy's appt next week don't you?

keepitgoing · 07/07/2016 15:50

Oh no loopy not again. Brooking that Tommie's can do sth xxx

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/07/2016 17:10

Yes, seeing prof q or one of her team next Friday morning. I'd actually emailed prof B this week to find out whether they would want me to cancel it or keep it in case things go wrong again, he'd sent a lovely reply that he wished me good luck and that if I am still pregnant next week they would scan me at that appointment, and if I'm not pregnant that they'd use it for the original purposes. No idea what else they can do. I think the only trial they are currently doing is the scratch, I've had one of those already and it doesn't seem to have made any difference, and the other one that involves taking sitagliptin for 2 months before then starting to ttc again but as far as I know they are not doing that trial yet and some will take the drug and some will be on a placebo and knowing my luck I'd get the placebo, and think if they don't start it soon I will be too old to be considered anyhow. Only other thing I can think is if they were to ignore my NK tests and just let me try prednisolone but not sure if that's legal!

keepitgoing · 07/07/2016 17:30

Well I think some treat with pred anyway, so they might. I also wonder if it might be worth taking a month or two off, it must be really hard on your body

BeedlesPineNeedles · 07/07/2016 20:11

loopy I'm so sorry, I really thought this one might work :-( I do hope they have some ideas at your appointment next week Flowers

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/07/2016 22:28

I really don't want to take time off from ttc. We had an unexpected pregnancy/first MC sept 2013 when my period hadn't returned from breastfeeding ds2. We then didn't try until Jan 2014. That was a MMC and had ERPC March 2014. We then had a break whilst selling my house as DH said he didn't want to move with me to deal with all the stress whilst being either heavily pregnant or with a new baby and so we resumed ttc Jan 2015. That was my third MC, a spontaneous one. Then kept trying and lots of bfps and losses until Sept 2015. Then had another break so could go to Coventry during Nov 2015. Didn't ttc in the December cycle as needed to have my smear test done. Resumed ttc in Jan 2016 and really don't want to waste any more time. I will be 40 in less than 3 months.

Imps9 · 08/07/2016 13:33

Oh Loops am so sad for you. It's so bloody hard to keep going through this without knowing what the issue is. You will be in safe hands with Prof Q though.

Have sorted Barry-Baxter's sleeping arrangements in our room - have bought him a box from British Baby Box. Only £50 plus it can be used for storage once he's grown out of it. If it's good enough for those sensible Fins, it's good enough for us.

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 11/07/2016 07:21

Do you have much else to buy Imps?

Bleeding started this morning. Don't know whether to put any hope in the fact that my losses had been getting earlier and earlier, to the stage i was losing them within a couple of days of an early BFP but last month made it to 4+6 and today I would be 5+2 so the pattern seems to have altered and they are lasting a bit longer each time. Don't know if I'm reading too much into it, or whether it's just the longer I'm on Metformin and/or the more weight I lose the better the chances of not miscarrying. I hope prof Q has some ideas on Friday as feel beyond helping at the moment.

keepitgoing · 11/07/2016 08:45

loopy we'll all be brooking for you for Friday. I'm sure losing weight is helping, you've been doing amazingly!

All plodding along here. 8 weeks till I finish work, one of which is holiday! But have interview for my own job tomorrow.... Grr.

Have my 28 week anti d injection on Friday, and whooping cough vaccination this evening. I'm about 6kg heavier now :)

Imps9 · 11/07/2016 09:59

Your weight loss must make a difference Loops. Are you taking any egg-friendly supplements?

We've still got to get pram and Ergo carrier, and then sundries like nappies and wipes. Other than that, we're there. Although am not sure what to do about the cot - our friends have offered us theirs which is in perfectly good nick and free, but Mr Imps' parents are insisting that they buy the cot for us as that's the family tradition. Seems like such a waste of money and resources to get a new one when there's one on offer. What would you do?

I too have put on 6kg Keep! The slow start seems to have come to an end as it's going on quite quickly now. I'm not eating any more than usual so I'm hoping this is normal.

Can we have a bumpie update?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 11/07/2016 11:06

imps look at cheeky wipes, or reusable wipes. Even if you can't be bothered with nappies, they are way better for cleaning and no hassle (after the meconium!!)

Re the cot, you'll want a new mattress anyway, they could get that? I agree it seems quite wasteful. Do they not want to get sth else, eg the sling, instead?

keepitgoing · 11/07/2016 11:08

Basically depends on your relationship with them. If it were me I'd just say no thanks we have one but you could get xx. But if they'd be offended then maybe not

Imps9 · 11/07/2016 11:54

What do you mean "if you can't be bothered with nappies"??? Is that even an option?

OP posts:
Pastamancer · 11/07/2016 12:03

I think Keep means if you can't be bothered with reusable nappies. We bought a cotbed for DD1 and DD2 is currently in it. We started off with a crib which DH slept in as a baby. I think DD2 was the 12th baby to use it as it has been passed round the family for 40 odd years.

Imps9 · 11/07/2016 12:07

Oh right. I did wonder.

I might suggest that they buy a bed when Barry-Baxter's bigger rather than a cot or cot bed now. Hopefully they won't be offended by that.

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 11/07/2016 12:28

Yes, if you can't be bothered with REUSABLE nappies. Don't go without....

Kip still in a cot bed. We will take the sides off soon but still plenty of space I can't see us needing to get a bed soon, and we've been given another so no need to chuck her out

pasta that's so sweet!
