Oooh that's the strongest line you've had so far Loops. COME ON EMBY we really need you to stick.

Barry-Baxter is an Unidentified Brooking Bean Loops. I'm not sure any of us know the sex, although Geek will be finding out soon.

May not be able to post much over the next week as off on holiday and reception there is patchy, and there's no wifi other than whatever we can get on our phones. Hoping to test later, however my 5 hours of
holding in wee is 11.20am and we are not allowed to check in until midday! Hard enough holding it for 5 hours as it is! Still crampy so am hoping it's still holding on in there, started the clexane last night but not used any progesterone yet. If today's result looks good then I'm thinking I will leave the progesterone alone. My body grew 2 boys without it and ever since I started taking progesterone I've not had one get past 5 weeks. Can't help
feeling there is a connection.

Imps9 · 02/07/2016 08:40

Sounds like a cracking plan Loops. Have a fabulous holibobs and if you can't post I look forward to hearing that you have a v strong line still next weekend.

Eeek. 14 dpo and strongest line I've had for at least a year

keepitgoing · 02/07/2016 11:23

YES now that is what I call a line!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 02/07/2016 12:30

(We left a bit later than planned and I decided I needed a wee before leaving home, so that was after 4 hours of holding wee rather than the 5 minimum I was aiming at. Really trying not to get my hopes up but now feels like my body isn't as broken as it was, as I've not had a line progress so clearly every 24 hours for so long now! Just hoping it continues as I really don't want another MC to spoil our holiday. Although now worrying myself silly in case going in the pool causes me to pick up an infection that could cause a MC. Is that at all possible or am I being daft? It's a pool at haven, and so not necessarily the cleanest of places, although at least it won't be as busy as when it's the school summer holidays!

Imps9 · 02/07/2016 15:29

Yes yes YES fabulous line!!!!

Think I'm going to struggle with testing this week! It's not easy holding in wee in this caravan!! Just had a shower, and the shower head is too heavy for the bracket so the bracket keeps rotating round and then the head falls off, was so cold in there fighting with the stupid shower head and the crappy bracket! yestersays line was after 4 hours of holding in, so I still have at least an hour to hold it in until I get to the 4 hour point since I did my first wee of the day. Just hope I haven't drunk too much as I've had a glass of milk and a cup of tea, normally I'd just have the milk and not the cup of tea as well. I hate this, but the only chance I have of sanity is to keep testing to see if it's still getting darker. Not sure how dark the line can go though? Also have 2 clearblue plus's and one clearblue digital with me but not sure when I will be brave enough to use any of those!

jaggythistle · 03/07/2016 09:21

Awesome line Loops :)

Brooking lots for you all... Flowers

BeedlesPineNeedles · 03/07/2016 18:36

That was was a good line yesterday loopy hope you're having a lovely holiday. I'm impressed at your wee-holding :o

imps all those cute little clothes! I've been attempting some crochet, what wool would you recommend for a baby blanket (thought I might buy some whilst I'm in England)?

We bought a swinging crib today, we were in our local second-hand shop and found one that was a bargain. We just need to buy a mattress. MrB was worried it wasn't a bargain but we got hope and checked and they cost about 5 times as much new (and you still have to buy a mattress! )

We're now on holiday for 4 weeks (mainly at home) so hopefully there'll be a bit more baby shopping, or at least looking at stuff. And if the weather doesn't improve, some painting of the nursery!

keepitgoing · 03/07/2016 19:51

4 WEEKS of holiday?!?! Crib sounds lovely

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 03/07/2016 19:52

So today's test photos (mainly so Imps doesn't tell me off!)

Not sure the frer is any darker today, but got a plus on the clearblue. 15 dpo. My wee earlier was very pale so must not drink milk and a cup of tea tomorrow morning! Ended up not testing until about 5pm, so held it from about 10.30am through until then. We went out and I was desperate by the time we got back!!

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 03/07/2016 20:03

Today's is the bottom one, the top one is yesterday's, think today's is a bit more there when I compare them?

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
Imps9 · 03/07/2016 22:01

They look like fabulous lines Loops. Love your wee-holding! The things we do, eh?!

4 weeks holiday Beedles?? WTAF?? Does that apply to everyone or just you and Mr B??

As for yarn....

My favourite ever yarn is [[http://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/yarn/baby-cashmerino-all-colours Debbie
Bliss Baby Cashmerino]]. It's a wool, cashmere and acrylic mix and is gorgeous to snuggle. The colours are fab but it's v pricey.

Stylecraft Special DK is a decent choice. It's 100% acrylic so more robust and loads cheaper than Debbie Bliss. It's not quite as snuggly, but there are gazillions of colours to choose from.

Sirdir Snuggly DK is a good halfway house. It's a mix of acrylic and nylon, so pretty robust and much snugglier than the Stylecraft although more expensive (although not as expensive as the Debbie Bliss). There are some really lovely colours.

Excited about all this crocheting that's happening.

Looking forward to seeing photos of your creations being put to use when B-B arrives Imps. I wish I was more creative, I haven't knitted since I was very young and wouldn't have a clue what to do anymore! And if anything needs sewing/taking up it has to go to my mom to do! But I'm bloody good at cake decorating so the boys get to appreciate that skill every year so I'm doing ok in their eyes lol.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/07/2016 07:55

Thanks for the wool tips imps I can just about manage a few stitches with the help of youtube videos!

Pretty much everyone takes 4 weeks (or more!) holiday in the summer. Most of my colleagues are working this week but I'll be back before them to a nice calm half-empty office. It's quite a nice way of doing things because you don't come back after a week or 2 holiday to 10 million emails and loads of stuff that is needed immediately!

loopy I'm certain your boys appreciate a yummy cake far more than they would a knitted jumper!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 04/07/2016 14:32

Today's test is the bottom one, at 2pm with 5 hours held wee that was still quite pale in colour, top one is yesterday's from 5pm, today's is a bit more there than yesterday's, although not sure how the photo will load up!

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
keepitgoing · 04/07/2016 14:38

These are definitely your best lines yet loops

beedle I can't remember what you do but how does the country function in July?! PS are you going to be kicked out if/when brexit happens or are you OK because of dh I assume?

ControlGeek · 04/07/2016 16:22

Loopy loopy loopy those lines are brilliant! Brooking like billy-o that this is your sticky one. That's by far the best line progression you've posted!

Ahh beedle Brexit or no, I'm moving to Sweden purely for the four week holiday each summer (and hopefully snowier winters than I'm currently getting!) :)

Amazing work on those blankets Imps, you're like a machine! Some great yarn advice, too - nothing I can add, because I go cheap as chips for most of mine apart from the odd occasion when I happen to fall in love with the most expensive wool in the shop, get it home and find out it's part-yak

Sorry for long absence here, things are a bit chaotic with Dad and MrG's care and I've barely had a minute to myself. All is going well here, I've been feeling what I think are movements for just over a week now, and have had the midwife confirm via her own doppler what the placenta, geekling's hb and movements sound like, so I know I've been listening to the right things :)

No scans since 12 weeks as MrG is too ill to drive. I'm hoping to get a private gender scan booked before my 20 week scan but no guarantees.

Oh geek honey I'm sorry mrg is so unwell. Is he getting good care? Very exciting you're feeling movements already, is that 4 weeks sans scan ShockWink

Imps9 · 04/07/2016 18:53

You can hear movements Geek??? I had no idea they made a sound.

I am really sorry that Mr G is so poorly and that you're so rushed off your feet. Will you both be able to get to your 20 week scan okay?

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 04/07/2016 19:18

They sound like blips or squeals imps, it's quite exciting when you know what they are! There are loads of examples on youtube, I spent hours researching watching before putting wand to belly.

Thanks Keep his care's varied between atrocious (nurse actively refused to change his wound dressing even though it was saturated and dripping on the floor) and below par ('you can have these dressings but only when we dress it for you at the surgery because they're very expensive, even though they're the only ones that can cope with your wound and you need your dressing to be changed four times a day'). The district nurse came only when I called the integrated care centre and begged for one to come out - she recommended a treatment path that the gp surgery nurses wouldn't follow because it was too expensive. He's now under consultant care once a week but even he couldn't recommend anything further last time. All a bit dismal, and very depressing for MrG who's now been signed off work for the last four weeks and has been warned he'll be off for at least two more.

Yes, four whole weeks since my last scan! It's only the doppler and movements getting me through without sneaking off for one on my own Wink I do believe MrG would kill me if that happened though!

ControlGeek · 04/07/2016 19:25

If the worst comes to the worst imps we can get a taxi to my 20 week scan. Pricey, but doable. The private scans are much further away and no form of public transport to the scan location, either.
