Imps re the sleeping bags, the newborn ones didn't exist when I had ds1, so we bought the 0-2 year old ones. They were sold back then as newborn-2. They have a press stud under each arm hole so that when a baby is small you can reduce the arm hole size so there is no chance of a small baby sliding down and suffocating (not that small baby's can move like that anyhow!) and we used to fold the excess length underneath their legs, they had plenty of space in them to kick their legs still. They were doing a referral discount, if they are still doing it then I could get you a code if you decide you want to buy any. I'd have to check as it's been a while since I looked. We found them a great long term value option. One size fits for 2 years of growth and as long as you aren't a skin Flint with your central heating in winter, they are suitable for using all year round. The big alternative at the time was gro bags, which came in loads of different age sizes and different tog ratings for summer and winter. The merino seemed an easier way, buy once (well more than once as bought more than one so covered for washing and wearing) and not have to buy again until they were 2. And we reused them all for ds2.
Re being consultant led Imps, unless Cambridgeshire has altered its policy, it would mean you wouldn't be allowed to use a birthing centre and they wouldn't be keen on a home birth. They might want to monitor your labour too. If you can get the consultant to sign you back to midwife care then you will have full freedom of your birth preferences. (Unless it has altered in the last few years!)
No I'm not on aspirin, both my old NHS consultant and new consultant, and the prof's at Coventry all are against aspirin and say it's not safe. No idea if they are right as know plenty who have taken it and been fine!! I'm meant to be on clexane from bfp and progesterone from bfp although I'm increasingly scared that progesterone might be causing the losses, but the doctors all seem to think that's unlikely, although the prof's at Coventry do think for some people if they take it from 7dpo (their normal protocol) that it can have a contraceptive effect and prevent proper implantation. So who knows. I'm sat here now and cramps galore and constant pressure, will be 10dpo tomorrow which wouldn't be worth using a frer yet, but I've got a pack of the new clear blue early ones that might possibly detect enough hcg tomorrow if I've read it properly. So might poas tomorrow, but still might be too early on those!! As imps got a definite bfp on frer which I never do, so I'm not necessarily going to get a bfp on the first day that I think I can use this new test!
