morning all,

any peestick news today loopy?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/05/2016 07:33

Am getting scared. So did a test this morning (15dpo) and today urine was noticeably paler than yesterday's FMU but the line is better than yesterday's one. Not crazily darker but definitely a bit stronger than yesterday's one when I put them side by side, despite today's wee being pale. I have crampy sensations but only on my left hand side. Half my head is saying there could be a chance of this one sticking, as hcg is still rising based on the peesticks and my other half of my head is feeling every cramp and expecting to be bleeding by the end of the day. I've not got past 5 weeks since Jan 2015 and not past 6+4 since I had ds2 in 2012. Struggling that this one will be any different. In desperation to prolong the luteal phase and give it a chance to fully implant I've started the progesterone. Emailed prof B re the clexane and he replied very quickly to say for safety he would suggest having a scan between 5 and 5+3 and start clexane then. He thinks theres no point risking my gum bleeding if it's not a viable pregnancy, but that if it is viable, he thinks as long as I start it next week it will still be ok...

keepitgoing · 18/05/2016 08:16

Ooh stressful loopy but COME ON EMBY!! Hope the boys keep your mind off it all today

ControlGeek · 18/05/2016 08:47

Oh loopy that's a rather positive sign! Your prof has made a good call on the clexane. It will give your gum time to heal first - you don't need to be worrying about that as well. Come on, emby!

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 09:10

Oooooh Loopy this sounds positive I will just about forgive you for the lack of photo

COME ON EMBY.

Darker with paler urine must be a good sign loopy. I will Think sticky thoughts for you!

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 09:54

But seriously come oooonnnnn - where is the photo?

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/05/2016 10:47

Here you go Imps. Still paler than I would like for 15dpo but trying to believe the stuff on your link. Line is crisper than yesterday's and more pinky, not sure my photos do it justice

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/05/2016 10:48

Pinky isn't the right word, it's a decent pink line in real life , I'm just crap at taking photos, and can't use flash else it glares against the window!

keepitgoing · 18/05/2016 11:15

That looks good to me loopy

imps geek any idea what I could do to donate a box unopened menopur and box unopened cetrotide? I've started a thread in infertility. Clinic can't take them back, I don't want to chuck, would like to give away but don't know how. menopur been in my fridge months but I might feel brave enough to get rid after scan

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 11:58

Yes that is a much clearer line Loops.

I had figured that I would take mine to the pharmacy to dispose of Geek. Such a waste but I think it would be tricky to give them away.

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 18/05/2016 12:06

Oh really? :( what do you have to get rid of? You're probably right...

ControlGeek · 18/05/2016 12:49

Loopy that line is much improved on the last photo, I can see it without even opening the larger picture. Brook, brook, brooking for you lovely.

Keep I think there are some regulations against advertising/offering (even for free) leftover medications, so I'm not sure there are any official channels you can use to pass them on. My menopur has date expired (heck, even the saline you mix with it has date expired!!!) so will be going down to the local Boots for disposal other chemists are available but I don't think I'll have much left of anything else to get rid of, it's all been far too tightly calculated.

Interesting day today. Apparently having a bus full of people staring at you while you're vomming in a car makes for a much more interesting ride to work :)

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/05/2016 13:38

Sorry you are feeling rough geek.

In other news here, I've gone mad and also used an Internet cheapie and got a faint line on it and also got a hint of a positive on a clearblue plus. These make me happier as I know it's harder to get bfps on those than on a FRER. It's feeling a bit more real than quite a lot of my early losses but just hope I don't regret feeling that or typing it on here. Have phoned GP and they are getting me more progesterone for Friday morning. Haven't phoned hospital re a scan yet. With everything I do or say I feel I am tempting fate and it's going to end. But if I need a scan between next Tues and Fri then I guess I can't put off phoning them for long.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/05/2016 13:49

convincing other peesticks is definitely good loopy, though I'm still waiting for tempting fate feeling to go away! We're all brooking this is a good one.

ControlGeek · 18/05/2016 14:08

Fabulous news loopy, it always feels like a proper achievement when you can convince an IC. You're doing all the right things, lovely. As beedle says, that I'm-going-to-jinx-things-by-making-plans feeling doesn't really go away when you've been through such a long, rough time of it. It's still here with me, too.

I'm actually not feeling too rough, the vomming seems to have killed the nausea which is a bit of light relief :)

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 18:02

Oh that is good news Loops. ICs in particular are fickle beasts and will not give up their lines easily.

My bump seems to have properly popped out since yesterday morning. I'm a bit Shock at how big it is for just 17 weeks. One of my neighbours is 21 weeks and I look much bigger than her. Am not putting on much weight though which I think is okay. Hopefully everything's okay in there with B-B.

Only a day and a bit Keep. Is Kip going to go with you?

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 18:06

Oh Keep sorry I thought Geek had posted that message about getting rid of drugs. Getting confused by the "ee" in your names, clearly.

I have some progesterone left over, as well as the pill and a box of Proveera but thinking it I might hang on to the progesterone for a while. And actually the Proveera and the pill too depending on their expiry dates.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 18/05/2016 19:47

Is it called Proveera or have I made that up?

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 18/05/2016 19:54

Not sure re rules but I know that the secret Facebook group I am on, there has been lots of drugs sharing. Not all GP's are willing to issue pred or progesterone or clexane. One woman has had a shit time lately. She had miscarriages from IVF and IuI. Was only allowed 1 NHS IVF. They went private for one last ditch IVF with money from family. Got pregnant and NHS won't give her clexane even though it was NHS who diagnosed she had clotting disorders. Told her she should go back to the private clinic, as if she had snubbed the NHS to go there! NHS is a joke I have decided after hearing many similar tales.

Anyhow, here is my other photo Imps, as I said it's very faint but I'm temporarily reassured that it's detecting anything.

Have just emailed the hospital to try and get a scan booked for next Wed or Thurs morning, that's if I make it that far. Feel like I've just jinxed it by sending the email.

We are jolly well going to get and stay diffed this month and we are BROOKING NO ARGUMENT.
ControlGeek · 18/05/2016 20:08

Loopy I find it even harder to get lines on those tests than on ICs, and I can see that line without enlarging or squinting. Oh god lovely

Yay for bump imps!

I hid behind the ubiquitous floaty scarf today. My bloat was horrendous. I also weed when I vommd. I felt a proper preggo today Hmm

Imps9 · 18/05/2016 20:08

Ooooh yes there is deffo a line there Loops.

I think that fertility treatment has taken a complete battering on the NHS in many, many places. It seems like it's not considered a worthy cause in the face of under-funding. Just another area where people are forced to pay privately to get the treatment they need

OP posts:
Imps9 · 18/05/2016 20:09

Yay for vom-wee Geek!

keepitgoing · 18/05/2016 21:42

Well my consultant told me it's not illegal to donate, basically, it's just finding someone who wants it. The menopur is like £150... I just needed less dose than expected

Bumpie then, imps!!!

Ah geek plenty more glamour to come...

Well done for booking the scan loopy

The nhs is in truly dire financial state at the moment. We need a proper conversation about what is and isn't funded; instead we limp on with huge variation in practice across the country. Nobody has the balls to start the conversation. F*ing politicians stop any really tough decisions being made
