What's the news this morning Loops?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 15/05/2016 08:51

No news yet imps. I have a cough and must have drunk too much overnight as FMU was very pale so not tested yet. Am going to try and hold it in now and test later if it's more concentrated a colour, do you reckon 4-5 hours is enough? I remember you said you didn't use FMU much?

Imps9 · 15/05/2016 09:19

I always get stronger lines later in the day than with FMU even when I've been drinking plenty so the wee isn't concentrated. Dunno why - tried to find out why this might be using the power of Google but to no avail.

Meant to post earlier but forgot, did another FRER and faint line today, but not as faint as the day before, it just about is visible on a photo today....

ControlGeek · 15/05/2016 17:16

I can see that line loopy, and I'm brooking so hard for you my lovely. How are you feeling?

Thanks for the reassurance on the 10 weeks/telling front. It will be so much easier when I don't have to hide so much from my team.

Imps9 · 15/05/2016 17:22

Yes I can definitely see that line Loops. Come on line!! Stick around please.

Yes 10 weeks should be as safe as 12 weeks Geek. How's that MS?

No improvement on today's test. I'm 13 dpo today. My only hope is that these tests with the weird blue stuff going on are fakes. DH buying some from a real shop today.

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 08:24

Oh bugger loopy I hope you can find some better tests...

V sad as family dog, my parents', died in the nght

cartoontrickster · 16/05/2016 08:43

Oh no keep I'm sorry to hear that. Dogs are such a huge part of the family.

Majorlyscared1993 · 16/05/2016 08:51

I hope you don't mind if I intrude... I had 3 strong bfp a few weeks ago, I think I am roughly 9/10 weeks. Sorry I don't keep track of my cycle at all I am rubbish. I am very worried as I have had spotting for 2 weeks now. It's very minimal, usually brown. But very worrying. I've been on various pregnancy threads trying to get to the bottom of my dilemma as doctors have been less than helpful, and right now I feel too scared to try and get a scan because I don't want bad news.

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 08:57

They are. He was 13 and had a wonderful life. Not told kip yet :(

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 09:00

Hi majorly congratulations on your bfp, were you TTC? I'm sorry about the spotting, it's so stressful. The fact that it's brown is good. Have you had any pain? Have you seen any doctors? Have you/they arranged your 12 week scan? I know it's scary but a scan would most likely be reassuring

Majorlyscared1993 · 16/05/2016 09:11

It was a bit of a shock as I only gave birth to my son in December. I haven't had any pain really that I can recall. I have been to hospital twice and both times they have fobbed me off. We tried to get to the nearest EPU but because of the time my husband finishes work and I don't drive, it's a few counties away so it was shut before we got there. I haven't even arranged booking appointment, I can't bring myself to do it right now I'm so nervous as I didn't have this bleeding when I had my son

Majorlyscared1993 · 16/05/2016 09:12

Sounds ridiculous but I 'feel' pregnant. I'm pretty sure I still am. It just seems weird that I'm spotting for so long. If it was mc wouldn't it have happened by now?

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 09:25

Oh gosh that's quick!! :)
Some people have 'missed miscarriage' where the foetus stops developing but the body still continues as if pregnant. I don't know how common this is. You do need to arrange your booking, though if I were you I would try and get a scan first. That's really difficult with your epu so far away esp with a little baby. Is that really the only option locally? Could you afford a private scan, they can be about £70 and there might be a place closer to you

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 09:26

Also just because you didn't bleed with your son doesn't mean this is bad - every pregnancy is different.

Majorlyscared1993 · 16/05/2016 09:57

Yeah it's just making me very nervous, it seems that the symptoms for normal pregnancy are also the symptoms for mc/ ectopic/ mmc... I would be devastated if anything has gone wrong. I just don't have the cahonas to make an appointment and find out for definite

cartoontrickster · 16/05/2016 11:17

Hi major firstly try and relax, trust me I know that's hard though. This may just be my local epu but you cannot self refer and you certainly cannot just tip up there.
If it were me I would want to at least speak to the midwife so it was down on record and she may even arrange you an early scan. Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong could just be one of those things but a scan is the only way to find out.

keep good luck telling s.
loopy did dh pick you up some more peesticks?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/05/2016 11:25

keep sorry about your parents' dog. You must have a 20 week scan soon, will you want to find out if its a sister or brother to kip?

loopy sorry you're not having much luck with those tests, wish I could wave a magic wand and at least find out what's happening for you.

majorly if you organise a booking apoointment but say you have no idea how far along you are (plus with the spotting) they may organise a scan for you.

I'm wearing my maternity jeans today, they are nice and comfy but I'm not quite used to tight stuff around my ribs!

cartoontrickster · 16/05/2016 11:56

Great aren't they beedle I can't wait to dig mine out , the way I'm eating at the moment it will be sooner rather than later Blush. I'm blaming the steroids although I don't remember being this hungry with N. geek how is your appetite?

keepitgoing · 16/05/2016 12:41

Yes beedle it's on Friday morning. We've decided I think not to find out again. S keeps saying it's a boy. Also have to see the anaesthetist due to back issues years ago (in case I need an epidural) and will ask someone again about my funny heart rythmn.

What are you gobbling up trix?
I've been off peanuts since I was pg and last night had some. Good at the time (dry roasted...) but felt bad after. Peanuts and tea - usually I love 'em.

Does anyone here camp BTW? We used to loads but not been since kip and I don't really know why, thinking of going over the summer and would like Midlands/Wales recommendations

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 16/05/2016 13:03

Trix he work in London, long way from home so he won't be back until tonight. Meanwhile I'm feeling sorry for myself as just had my tooth out. I'm worried it was a possible hidden cause for the miscarriages as I keep getting an infection in it, which antibiotics never properly managed to clear it. So tooth has now gone so that's another thing that can be ruled out for the future, as feeling negative about this months bfp now.

cartoontrickster · 16/05/2016 13:04

Anything I can get my hands on keep haha my stomach just constantly feels empty!

cartoontrickster · 16/05/2016 13:27

Sorry about your tooth loopy that's no fun. I wish I had something of use to say, I have my fingers firmly crossed that this bfp is the one.

So far today I've eaten a biscuit, a bowl of cheerios, a couple of handfuls of grapes and some strawberries, a ham and cheese toastie , a packet of crisps and two of those fruit slice biscuits things. I'm nowhere near full. I have a cold too and that always makes me hungry too. Not that I need much excuse!

Imps9 · 16/05/2016 13:38

Hello Majorly I'm sorry you're going through a horrid time with spotting. Wish we could give you answers here but an early scan or just sitting it out and seeing what happens are really the only way you will know what's what. If you have any pain, definitely DON'T sit it out and see what happens - call the EPU and find out how you can get an appointment to see them (you can self-refer at my local EPU but have to phone them first to discuss what's going on). Good luck - we will all be here to hold your hand.

Keep so sorry about Dog Sad Losing a pet is horrid.

And Loops - grrrrr to unhelpful peesticks. Sorry about the tooth but there is apparently a connection between oral health and fertility (I'm not sure how much of a connection - have never read into it but there was research recently which showed a link between flossing and speed of conception). Brooking for you my lovely.

Trix how's your MS? Hopefully it hasn't taken hold. My diet was utterly appalling in the first trimester - am so glad it's back to its normal healthy safe now she says having just scoffed a massive piece of cake. Are you booked in for another scan yet?

Beedles yay for the comfort of stretchy panel trousers! They are comfy aren't they? My bloating seems to have reduced a bit now so I haven't worn my mat trousers for a couple of weeks but it's nice to know that they're there when I need them.

Geek re: whether I do any other exercise - I don't do any gym or other classes but I do walk a fair bit and try not to be too sedentary. Ideally I'd go swimming too but I really don't enjoy it - it's such a faff and our local pool is always so busy so I feel like I spend the whole time trying to avoid swimming into people.

Just had to go out for some emergency shopping - had a client meeting first thing and in the car on the way back to the office afterwards I realised that the top I was wearing reeked of BO Shock Blush. I don't know a) why the hell is smells so bad; b) why the hell it was in my wardrobe rather than the laundry; and c) how the hell I didn't smell it when I put it on this morning. I picked up a nice maternity-top-which-doesn't-look-like-a-maternity-top from H&M - it's like a floating blouse with zebras on it. And it doesn't stink of body odour.
